My second post today :)!
I have another christmas card to share with you. This time in red and gold.
I had two challenges in my mind. The current challenge at Less is More is a colour challenge and the colour of this month is “Fire”. At Happy Little Stampers Blog runs HLS November CAS challenge with the theme “Gilding”
The flame background was made using alcohol inks. I dropped red, orange and yellow alcohol inks on a glossy CS and blowed them through a small straw.
I then stamped a branch from the Golden Garden stamp set from Altenew using metallic gold ink and added some dots with a brush. I then trimmed right and bottom edge of the glossy CS panel and mounted it on a card base, the edges of which I gold heat embossed.
The sentiment from Happy Little Stampers was stamped and gold heat embossed on a black CS, cut and adhered on the card using foam tape.
I am happy with the result, even though it was my first trial of this technique (blowing alcohol ink).
But it took a very long time until it was dry.
