Happy monday!
Today I have a card to share, which I made yesterday, after an idea suddenly popped into my mind.
It is about tree, the cue word over at CASology.
I made this card using Tree Ring Stamp from Concord & 9th.
What I want to show in this card is : Even from an old stump that looks dead at first sight, a new sprout can come out.
And I’m happy with how this card has turned out.
To start off I stamped the tree ring image using embossing ink on a water color paper. After heat embossed it in gold I colored the stump and fussy cut it. The sprout were made using free cutting file from Birdscards. I colored an scrap water color paper in green and cut the branches with my Cricut.
The branches were adhered under the stump. The stump was mounted with foam tape on the card base, on which I blended Mustard seed and Twisted Citron Distress inks.
I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches using purple dye ink first and then with embossing ink to clear heat emboss it. I scattered some dots using clear and yellow Pico Embellisher and added a rhinestone where the sprout come out.
