Today I have two cards to share which I made using Peony scrolls stamp set from Altenew.
Recently I’ve got the Tombow dual brush pens. After I watched a video on Jennifer Mcguire’s blog, I wanted to try coloring on back of the embossed vellum using these markers. So I tried it on these two cards.

I started by stamping peony flowers and branches on a vellum with embossing ink and heat embossed some with white opaque and the other with white pearl EPs.

At first I colored on the back of the opaque white embossed vellum using my finger to blend the colors.
But the images look so pale on the front. So I colored the white pearl embossed images on the front side.
I then spent some time on fussy cutting 🙂

For my first card I used the white pearl embossed flower and branches which I colored on the front of the vellum. Before I arranged the flower and branches, I blended various blue shades of Distress inks on the card base, adhered a white pearl heat embossed frame on it which I cut with my Cricut and added some splatters of pearl-water-mix.

The sentiment was cut with Cricut (font: Black Jack) five times and layered. The top layer was heat embossed using white pearl EP.
The finishing touch were some clear sequins and silver thread underneath the flower.

The flowers and branches which were colored on the back of the vellum were used for my second card.
Here I tried to give the card some oriental look. I used a pattern paper and the Stitched die from Paper Smooches for the background.
The gold heat embossed sentiment is from the Oriental Orchid stamp set.

Personally I prefer the first card. I like more vibrant color of the images.
Maybe I used wrong vellum…. too opaque.

Thank you for stopping by!
Happy crafting!
