Hello and welcome to my blog!
I’m very excited today, as I am guest designing at CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge blog! CTS is one of the challenges where I linked up my card for the first time last year. So I feel so honored to show my card as Guest Designer at one of my favorite challenges.
You can find the sketch of the latest CAS(E) this Sketch challenge #169 from Chrissy further below.
Now to my card…
As I saw the sketch for the first time, I had the idea of something hanging on the bar. After searching through my stash I’ve found this stamp set from Inky Antics which I had bought a while back. And this monkey was the perfect actor for my card.
I stamped the monkey with a banana in his hand on a white CS, colored him using Copic markers and fussy cut him. I then made a cutting file for the frame and cut it from a brown CS. The frame was too dark for my idea so I sponged some white pigment ink on it and stamped woodgrain from Hero Arts in white.
I then stamped the branches, which were colored with Copics too. I blended Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio DIs around the branches.
The monkey was glued on the back of the bar and his hand on the front.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped it in black, but it was too thin so I wrote it over using a black glaze pen.
The frame with the monkey was mounted on the card base with some foam tape.
To finish off the card I added some yellow dots using Pico embellisher.
I hope you can join in the fun over at CAS(E) this Sketch!
Please hop over there to see what the wonderful DT ladies have come up with!
Thank you for stopping by!
