The Ton 2016 Fall Release Blog Hop

The first one is a CAS creation. I tried to make a present wrapped with green and red ribbons. The striped ribbons were stamped using Minor Stripes Cling background stamp. I inked up only a part of the stamp, covering up the area which I didn’t want to stamp and stamped directly on the card base once in Lipstick Red and again perpendicularly to it in Deep Emerald dye ink. I added a golden line to each of the ribbon using a gel pen.


For my pine bough decoration I stamped the pine cones, needles and holly from Holiday Cones stamp set. I used Found Topaz dye ink for the first layer of the cones and gold heat embossed them in second layer. The pine needles and holly leaves were stamped in Soft Garden, Bright Fern, Deep Emerald and Hot Tourmaline dye ink and the red berries in Lipstick Red, on which I added some shade using colored pencils. All the elements were then fussy cut (coordinating dies are now available!) and arranged on the card along with some golden thread and two jingle bells hanging down. The sentiment is from the Brushed Merry stamp set which I gold heat embossed on the green ribbon. To finish off I added Glossy Accents on the red berries.

My second card is featuring the Scenes: Grand Stairway Cling background, Born Classy, Fresh Cut Garden Roses, Christmas Poinsettia Mini and Thankful Cornucopia stamp sets. To make a scene of a warm and cozy livingroom in holiday season I started off by stamping and gold heat embossing the Grand Stairway stamp on a watercolor cardstock. After I colored the scene using Starry colors (shimmery watercolor), I trimmed the panel down to 4 by 5.5 inch. I adhered some red gold glitter tape from our thin Glitter Tape Sampler pack on one side of the card base and mounted the watercolor panel flat on that.


The Christmas tree was made with the peacock feather decoration of the dress from Born Classy stamp set. I stamped the upper part in Caribbean Turquoise and Ocean Teal dye ink and the bottom of the tree in Hot Tourmaline and Ocean Teal dye ink. I then clear heat embossed them to watercolor it in gold. The pot is actually a vase from the Fresh Cut Garden Roses stamp.
I fussy cut the christmas tree and foam mounted it on the front panel. The Ornaments are circles I punched out from our Adhesive Glitter Paper Mix. I adhered them onto the tree and added Glossy Accents for glassy look.  The sentiment from the Christmas Poinsettia Mini stamp set was stamped in Ocean Teal and Noir dye ink on the gold heat embossed banner from the Thankful Cornucopia stamp set.
