Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today I’m participating in a special Blog Hop! This is an inspirational blog hop focusing on the New Day Card Kit hosted by Altenew.
If you arrived here from amazing Amy Tsuruta’s blog, you are right on track. If you lost on the way or want to start from the beginning, please head on over to the Altenew blog

New Day Card Kit includes everything you need to create cards for any occasions, from a floral stamp set (Floral Garden), base cardstocks, patterned paper pack, to embellishments!!! Since New Day Card Kit was released, I’ve seen so many gorgeous creations using this kit. It is an honor for me to be a part of this inspiring blog hop!

For today’s hop I decided to create three floral cards using the flowers from Floral Garden stamp set in the kit as main focus. I colored the solid flowers in three different ways and created the backgrounds for them using various elements in the kit.
The floral images are solid, but I defined the petals and added dimension for another look!

This is my first card. Here I colored the flowers using Altenew Artist Markers and created the background with a hand-drawn-stripe patterned paper from the kit.

To start off I stamped the floral images on some white cardstock in light pink and light green and colored them with Altenew Artist Markers. I fussy cut them all and set them aside. I cut along the hand-drawn lines on the striped paper and glued it on the cardbase using Altenew Glue Tape so that it covers about two thirds of my black cardbase. I then arranged the flowers. I glued the bottom part flat and added some foam adhesives under the flowers to give them some dimension. I coated the flowers with a clear glitter pen. You can see the shimmer better in the close up picture below. The stamen was made using yellow Pico embellisher.

The SENDING is a part of Floral Garden set in the kit, I heat embossed it on the card in white using Altenew Pure White Crisp EP. For the HUGS I used the puffy stickers included in the kit.
To finish off I added two black enamel dots from the kit as well.

My second card is a soft and bright version.

I started off by stamping the images, the flowers in Soft Lilac and the stem and leaves in Morning Frost. I colored the images using Polychromos and Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut them all. To represent a vase, I created a small shaker element using a square wood veneer included in the kit. I added some light blue glitter and microbeads, which I colored with Aqua and Patina alcohol inks, to the shaker well. For the background I used one of patterned papers included in the kit. I added bokeh effect on it using circle stencil and white pigment ink, splattered gold watercolor and glued the panel on my white cardbase using Altenew Glue Tape. I then started to assemble my card by arranging the flowers on the right half of the card. I added some foam adhesives under the flowers for some dimension. Next I added the sentiment strip. The sentiment is from Floral Garden as well which was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock with a mat of gold foil cardstock from the kit.  I then adhered the shaker square. I cut a square frame from the same patterned paper I used for the background and glued it on the shaker element.
To finish off I scattered a few clear sequins.

Next is the last card for today. I used the elegant and beautiful frame die included in the kit to embellish this card.

To start off this card I stamped the images using second generation stamping of Wilted Violet and Mowed Lawn DI.  I colored the images with Peerless watercolors. I used pearlized water while coloring so that the flowers have some shimmer. I fussy cut them all and set them aside to create the background. This time I chose a watercolor striped pattern paper in green for my base. I die cut a frame using the frame die and the gold cardstock from the kit. I cut an area with butterflies from a patterned paper and added to the frame. To assemble my card I arranged and glued two purple flowers. Here I added some adhesives to give some dimension to the flowers. I then foam mounted the frame and added a big flower on it.

The sentiment from Floral Garden is heat embossed in Pure White Crisp EP on a strip of purple cardstock and added onto the card. Two green enamel dots from the kit were my finishing touch.

So that was my three cards I created for today’s hop :)! Hope you enjoyed looking them! I truly enjoyed making them:)!
