Hello and happy Saturday! Hope you’re enjoying the weekend!
I’m popping in to share a card with you which I made for Altenew August Inspiration Challenge. Erum is hosting this month and she chose for us one of her amazing projects as inspiration.
I picked the color scheme (Aqua, Green, Brown) from her inspiration card and made this card.
To start off I gold heat embossed the butterflies from Bejeweled stamp set on a glossy cardstock. I then applied the alcohol inks on the butterflies. I mainly used Patina and Limeade and a little bit of Turquoise and Citrus. I added gold Mixative on the body and on dots of the wings. I gold heat embossed and colored two more butterflies on a separate glossy cardstock and fussy cut the wings and body part of them. To create the brown background I dripped rubbing alcohol first and a drop of Hazelnut on the alcohol puddle to lighten the color. I moved the ink and alcohol mix to the direction I wanted by tilting the paper.
The sentiment is from the same set. I die cut a circle from the colored panel. I gold heat embossed the edge of the circle and stamped the sentiment in StazOn black. I adhered gold glitter tape from New Day Card Kit on the left and bottom edge of a kraft cardbase. I trimmed down the front panel slightly and mounted it flat on the cardbase. I then put the circle with the sentiment onto the place using some foam adhesive. The fussy cut butterflies were then added on the butterflies of the front panel. I glued the body directly on the body of the butterfly on the front panel and added some foam adhesive under the wings to create some dimension.
I finished off the card with some gold and clear sequins.
I want to enter this card also into Addicted to Stamps and More #256 : Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday August/September: Favorite Stamps.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!
