Hello all!
It’s already time for a reminder card for our August challenge at The Flower Challenge!
You have still 10 days to enter your projects using background stamping technique!
For today’s card I used one of the stamp sets which I purchased as I started card making two years ago. It is from Inkadinkado and is called Flower Flourishes. The 5 stamps in the set are all beautiful swirly flower clusters. I chose one of them and made my background.
I started by heat embossing the floral cluster on the center of my watercolor panel in white pearl EP, and repeated this until the entire panel was filled with floral clusters. I then colored the panel in Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick and Broken China Distress Oxide inks using wet on wet coloring technique. I left the top right corner not colored. I then colored the small flowers with Ciopic markers. I took the colors from the background. I narrowed down the panel and foam mounted it on a dark gray cardbase.
You can see the heat embossed background better in the picture below!
The sentiment is from the New Day Card Kit by Altenew. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it onto the card. To finish off I scattered some pretty sequins.
Thank you so much for looking!
Hope to see your projects in the gallery at The Flower Challenge.
