Hello all! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!
Today I have two cards to share with you.
The January Challenge at The Flower Challenge is all about Spotlight Stamping! I’ve made two cards in the same layout using Wishful Rose by The Ton.
On the first card the rose was watercolored and for the second card I used alcohol ink to color the rose.
To start off I heat embossed Wishful Rose in Liquid Platinum on Oatmeal cardstock (WPlus9) and again on some white cardstock. I then watercolored the rose on the white cardstock and adhered the panel on the cardbase. I cut out a circle from the Oatmeal cardstock using a Double Stitched Circle die and foam mounted it onto the card. The sentiment is from Celebration Rose Cluster (The Ton). I finished off the card by adding three clear Dew Drops (The Ton) onto the rose.
My second card is a shaker card. This is a CAS(E) of my own card.
I heat embossed the Wishful Rose on a clear acetate sheet in Liquid Platinum and colored it with Purple Twilight, Pool, Aqua and Citrus alcohol ink. Before assembling the shaker card I blended the cardbase in Broken China and Peacock Feather to create the background. I filled the shaker window with some iridescent sequins. The sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of purple cardstock and foam mounted on the card.
One more pic of both cards together :)….
I had so much fun to try this interesting technique again! Hope you’ll give it a try too!
Now please hop over to The Flower Challenge blog. My teammates have created some pretty projects for you!
Thank you so much for stopping by!!!
Have a happy day!
