Hello there!!!
It’s March! Hard to believe we have already one sixth of this year behind us! Hope your March is off to a great start!
New Month, New Challenge at The Ton Challenge blog! The cue word for this month is
SPRING
There are so many flowers which pop in my mind when I think about Spring. And Tulip is on top of my list. For today’s card I used the tulips from Sweet Folk Hummingbird and Geometric Circles Coverplate die for the background.
I stamped the tulip in Antique Linen DI on Bristol smooth paper for no line coloring. I watercolored it and cut it using coordinating die. To create the background I did some loose watercolor wash on a watercolor paper panel in blue, red and green using DI. I used a die cut piece cut with Geometric Circles Coverplate die as a stencil and sponged Lemon Drop, Soft Garden and Cali Blue on the stencil over the watercolor wash. I then added splatters using the same DIs and Copic Opaque white.
I cut the background panel using the largest Double Stitched Rectangle die and glued it on a white cardbase. The tulip was foam mounted on it. The sentiment is from Basic Banners set. I heat embossed a banner in Rose Gold, stamped the sentiment in Noir and cut the banner using the coordinating die. To finish off I added some Glass Slippers sequins.
Hope I could inspire you with my Spring card today :)!
