Seize the Birthday – Beachy Birthday

Hello and welcome to my blog! 

Today is Seize the Birthday Thursday and I have a summery card to share with you!

I bought this cute stamp by Penny Black last year but the Summer was already over , so I put it aside to use later. Now it’s just right time for this cute little girl on the beach to get some color! 


I stamped the Beach Baby in Caviar Hybrid ink (a Copic friendly ink by The Ton) on some white cardstock and colored her using Copic markers. I added texture on the sand and ocean with Copics and then blended brown DI onto the beach and blue DIs on the ocean while masking the other part. I blended the sky on DIY cloud stencil and splattered clear water to create the texture. I adhered the colored panel flat on a light blue cardbase.

The sentiment by Paper Smooches was stamped in True Navy on a speech bubble I cut with a craft knife. I added silver faux stitch line around the speech bubble and foam mounted it onto the card.  I added three Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins to finish off the card.
