Hello and Welcome to The Ton’s Fall 2018 Release blog hop! For this release, The Ton has debuted 11 new stamps and a new pop up floral die. There are free gifts with purchase promotions also! There’s also a little surprise for today since it is World Cardmaking Day. Head over to The Ton’s blog for more details.
If you’ve arrived here from lovely Amy Tsuruta’s blog, you are right on track. If you’re lost on the way or want to start from the start please hop over to The Ton’s blog.
I have three cards and five tags to share with you today.
Because of the delay of the delivery, I used for some of my cards Effie’s digital design instead of the stamp.
My first card is showcasing Amazing Gardenia. The large gardenia flower measures approximately 4 x 5.5 inches at its widest poinsts. I used here the digital image.

Because of the delay of the delivery, I used for some of my cards Effie’s digital design instead of the stamp.
My first card is showcasing Amazing Gardenia. The large gardenia flower measures approximately 4 x 5.5 inches at its widest poinsts. I used here the digital image.
I arranged the floral image and the sentiment also from Amazing Gardenia stamp set on computer and printed it on a neenah solar white cardstock. I colored the gardenia first using Copics (RV11,13, 17, 19, 69). The leaves were colored using Cool Gray Copic markers.
I wanted to have a golden sentiment. As I had a printed sample I have foiled the sentiment in gold. I then cut the panel with a Double Stitched Rectangle die. I blended Hollywood Star on a corner and mounted the panel on a soft pink cardbase. I finished off the card by adding some sequins from Cosmic Mauve Couture Mix.
The second card was made with Gardenia Wishes stamp set. The image is actually very large, approximately 6.75 x 4inches at its widest points. I printed the image and the sentiment too small. Assuming my card is 7 x 5.5 inches, it shows the actual size of the image :).
I colored Gardenia Wishes using Copics too. I used BG01, 02, 05 and 09 for the big gardenia and for the small ones I used B00, 02, 05 and 06.
After I foiled the sentiment in gold I cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die. I blended Arctic Sky on a corner and mounted the panel on a light blue cardbase. The finishing touch was some Glass Slippers sequins.
For next card I used Wonderland Print and Cardinal Friends. Wonderland Print is a bundle of two 6×8 clear stamp sets. You can create the rectangle wreath in multiple stamping.
I stamped the wreath in Lemon Drop, Soft Garden and Crystal Pewter. To add some depth I stamped them again partially in Coraline Hybrid, Bright Fern and Smoky Quartz respectively. The sentiment is also from Wonderland Print. I silver heat embossed the sentiment, cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted the panel on a yellow cardbase. I narrowed the panel slightly to show the yellow base.
The yellow cardinal from Cardinal Friends was colored using yellow and warm gray Copics. I fussy cut the cardinal and the branch and foam mounted them onto the card. To finish off I scattered some sequins from Lemon Chiffon, Glass Slippers sequins and New Year Couture Mix.
Now to the tags 🙂 ! Holiday Chic Tags and coordinating dies would be a great addition to your tag collection. The tag die cuts also pierced line on the edges. As I used cut files my tags don’t have the pierced line.
The poinsettia cluster on my first tag is Christmas Mini Cluster.
I started by stamping the falling snow from Holiday Chic Tags in gray ombre using Pewter Collection. The sentiment is from Wonderland Print. I stamped it in Noir and clear heat embossed it.
I gold heat embossed Christmas Mini Cluster and colored it with Color Burst. I cut it using the coordinating die and foam mounted it onto the tag.
I used the diagonal stripes from Holiday Chic Tags set to make the second card. It was stamped in Soft Garden. I then gold heat embossed the sentiment and the doodled Christmas tree on it.
On this tag I stamped the falling snow pattern in Pewter Collection like the first tag. I added the red cardinal and the branch from Cardinal Friends onto it. The cardinal and the branch were colored using Copic markers. The gold heat embossed sentiment is from Banners-Holiday Add On. I added a thin strip of Adhesive Foil paper gold under the sentiment and added the sentiment strip to the tag.
The poinsettia on the next two tags were stamped using Wonderland Print set.
Here I heat embossed the diagonal stripes in gold tinsel and stamped the sentiment from Banners-Holiday Add On repeatedly between the lines.
For this tag I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Chic Tags in Noir and clear heat embossed. The silver heat embossed line pattern is also from Holiday Chic Tags set. I covered the poinsettias with a coat of clear glitter and foam mounted them on the tags.
