Hello and Welcome to Pinkfresh Studio March 2020 Essentials Slim Cuts Release Blog Hop!
You’ve arrived here from Suzy Plantamura’s blog, if you’re following the blog hop order. In case you’re lost on the way or want to start over, please hop over to Pinkfresh Studio blog!
Pinkfresh Studio is releasing another series of Essentials which fit on the slimline size. The dies cut to 3 5/8 x 8 5/8 “. You can find the Essentials designs we already have in the new nine Essentials Slim Cuts. This time we are releasing also a black hybrid ink named Detail Black.
I’ve made three cards in 3 7/8 x 8 7/8 “.
My first card is featuring Slim Diagonal Stripes from the Essentials Slim Cuts along with Full Bloom set and Phrase builder: you die set from January release.
I started off by stamping the Full Bloom image on a watercolor paper in a light gray archival ink two times. I then watercolored the floral clusters loosely using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid watercolors. After the coloring was done I cut them using the coordinating die and set them aside.
To create the background using Slim Diagonal Stripes, I first did watercolor wash on a watercolor paper panel in 3 7/8 x 8 7/8 “. I colored the panel lightly in green. I mixed a tiny bit of Espresso and Sunshine to Key Lime and Emerald City to make an olive green shade that I wanted. After the panel was dry, I splattered the same ink on it.
I cut the panel using Slim Diagonal Stripes. The die cut panel was mounted flat on a white base and the cut out stripes were added to it using some foam tape.
I adhered the Full Bloom floral clusters on the background cut off the excess.
The sentiment was cut using Phrase builder: you two times from some black cardstock and once from black glitter paper. I stacked them and added to the card.
To finish off I scattered some pink, yellow and clear Jewels.
The second card is showing one of the dies from Slim lacy edgers.
I started off making a alcohol inked YUPO panel in Citrus, Aqua and Shell Pink. I also added some Silver Mixative to add some shine to the panel. I used lots of rubbing alcohol to blend the colors.
After the YUPO panel was dry I cut one side using the Slim lacy edger.
I cut a heavyweight white cardstock using the same die to back the YUPO panel to make it sturdier.
Before I adhered the YUPO panel on the white panel I cut the letters from the YUPO panel using Kelly Alpha Lower case dies.
I cut the same letters from some heavyweight white cardstock to inlay them into the places of the YUPO panel. I added the tiny pieces from the YUPO letters to the white letters.
Now I foam mounted the front panel on a white cardbase. Some yellow, light blue and pink Jewels were my finishing touch for this card.
For the last card for today I used the Slim diagonal stitched rectangles. I created a scene using Falling for you stamp set trying to make it look like an asiatic landscape drawing.
I started off creating a black to red ombre watercolored panel. I used Licorice, Lavender and Candy Apple from the Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors. I left the bottom part uncolored.
After the panel was dry I white heat embossed the waterfall, mountains and trees from Falling for you stamp set on it. The waterfall on the right side was stamped as the mirror image. I added the fog (clouds) to the scene by stippling white acrylic paint using a brush. I cut the colored panel using a die without stitches.
I ink blended a white cardstock in black-gray ombre in the Urban Raincoat Premium ink colors. I cut the panel using the largest Slim diagonal stitched rectangle die and mounted it on a white cardbase.
I foam mounted the colored panel on it. The sentiment is from Full Bloom stamp set. I simply stamped it in black directly on the colored panel.
That’s it from my side! Hope I was able to showcase the unique Slim Cut designs and inspire you with my projects today!
