I’ve created four cards for today’s blog hop.
The first card is featuring Precious Blooms stamp set. I did some pencil coloring which I love to do usinig Altenew’s floral stamps 🙂 .
The first card is featuring Precious Blooms stamp set. I did some pencil coloring which I love to do usinig Altenew’s floral stamps 🙂 .
I used toned gray paper for this project. I stamped the outline of the floral cluster on it in Pink Diamond ink. I also added the second layer in Pinkalicious to get the idea where each petal on this image is. I masked the flower and stamped the outline and the second layer of the leaves in Bamboo.
I colored the flowers and leaves using Prismacolor colored pencils. I added bright highlight with a white gel pen on the stamen and some of the petals. After done with coloring I covered the images with a piece of printer paper and splattered white opaque ink on the panel. I also added tiny splatters on the flowers afterwards. The sentiment from the Precious Blooms was white heat embossed directly on the colored panel.
I matted the panel with a hot pink panel and mounted it on a white cardbase. To finish off I scattered some Satin White sequins on the card.
For the next card I used the Sweet Spring stencil which is a delicate floral cluster image in two layers.
I started off by ink blending on a teal cardstock in Lagoon and Emerald ink from the Sea Shore Mini cube set in an ombre fashion getting darker towards the left side.
I cut the stencil in two parts to separate the layers. I applied Aquamarine Nuvo mousse on the teal panel through the stencil of the base layer and let it dry. After the base layer was dry I put the first stencil on the dried image and put the stencil for the second layer on it and applied Silver Nuvo glimmer paste.
After the panel was dry, I cut the panel along the bottom side of the image using a kraft knife. The sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set was stamped in Emerald on a white cardbase and the front panel was foam mounted on it.
The next pair of cards are showcasing the Mega Bloom stencil. I used two different techniques using the same stencil.
For the first example I colored the image using Colored pencils.
First I inked the mulberry cardstock using a white pigment ink through Mega Bloom stencil. I let the ink dry overnight and colored the image using Prismacolor colored pencils. I used various pink shades along with magenta to get the monochromatic look.
After done with coloring I foam mounted the panel slightly tilted on a cream cardbase as shown in the picture. The sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set was gold heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock, matted with a strip of foiled gold cardstock and added to the card. I finished off the card by adding some Satin Gold sequins.
On the next card I tried something new. I wanted to know if it would work.
I stenciled the Mega Bloom using a white gesso on a panel on which I adhered the Pixel washi tape.
After the gesso was dry I colored the petals with white and pink acrylic paint. To add some sparkle I applied Moonstone Nuvo glimmer paste on the base of the petals.
I mounted the colored panel flat on a soft pink cardbase. The sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock added on a strip of gold cardstock and foam mounted onto the card. The finishing touch for this card was some Antique Gold sequins.
I’m not quite happy with the result. But I’m glad that I gave this a try :).
That was my four cards I made for today’s blog hop! I hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!
