Altenew April 2020 Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Stamping Mat/Sequins Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

I colored the flowers and leaves using Prismacolor colored pencils. I added bright highlight with a white gel pen on the stamen and some of the petals. After done with coloring I covered the images with a piece of printer paper and splattered white opaque ink on the panel. I also added tiny splatters on the flowers afterwards. The sentiment from the Precious Blooms was white heat embossed directly on the colored panel. I matted the panel with a hot pink panel and mounted it on a white cardbase. To finish off I scattered some Satin White sequins on the card. For the next card I used the Sweet Spring stencil which is a delicate floral cluster image in two layers. For the first example I colored the image using Colored pencils. First I inked the mulberry cardstock using a white pigment ink through Mega Bloom stencil. I let the ink dry overnight and colored the image using Prismacolor colored pencils. I used various pink shades along with magenta to get the monochromatic look. After done with coloring I foam mounted the panel slightly tilted on a cream cardbase as shown in the picture. The sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set was gold heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock, matted with a strip of foiled gold cardstock and added to the card. I finished off the card by adding some Satin Gold sequins. I mounted the colored panel flat on a soft pink cardbase. The sentiment from  Sentiment Strips 2 set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock added on a strip of gold cardstock and foam mounted onto the card. The finishing touch for this card was some Antique Gold sequins. I’m not quite happy with the result. But I’m glad that I gave this a try :).
