Hello crafty friends! Hope you are having a healthy week so far and having some time for crafting.
Today I have six cards to share with you ! Yes, I’ve been busy making them :). They are all featuring the new items from Secret Garden Release by Penny Black. I think you’ve already check them out. If not, hope you’ll check out the pretty spring-like stamp designs soon.
Let’s start, if you got something to drink while looking!
My first card is showcasing Branch Frames (51-624) die set and Wings & Vases (30-704) stamp set.
First I die cut the large frame and two branches from the Branch Frames (51-624) set from some watercolor paper. I also cut the little flowers using Swinging (51-618) die set and colored them all with Karin brush markers. I set them aside to dry.
I white heat embossed a butterfly from Wings & Vases (30-704) set twice on a watercolor paper panel and did light watercolor wash on it in yellow, orange and green. I gold heat embossed the other butterfly from the same set, colored it also in yellow, orange and green and fussy cut it.
I stamped the sentiment from Magical Friendship (30-707) set in a black pigment ink on the background panel and clear heat embossed it. I trimmed down the background panel a bit and foam mounted it on a gray cardbase. I then added the colored Branch Frame (51-624) stacked on some die cut frame from white cardstock to the card. I then embellished the frame with the branches and little flowers and placed the butterfly on the frame. I added yellow Stickles on the center of the flowers to finish off the card.
Next card is featuring Framed (51-622) die set, the flowers from Wings & Vases (30-704) set and the Daisy Collection (30-696) mini clear stamp set.
I cut the small square frame uinsg Framed (51-622) die set from some heavyweight white cardstock. I cut the frame three more times to stack them together for some dimension. I stamped the sentiment from Magical Friendship (30-707) set on the inner square and clear heat embossed it. The frame was silver heat embossed two times.
I then stamped the flowers from Wings & Vases (30-704) set and the Daisy Collection (30-696) set in Memento black ink, colored them with Copic markers and cut them all out using coordinating cut outs (Wings & Vases Cut Out (51-619), Daisy Collection Cut Out (51-616)).
I chose a soft pink cardbase and ink blended pink DIs along the perimeter of the front. I splattered clear water and dabbed it off with a paper towel to add some texture. I also splattered white opaque ink.
I arranged the flowers and adhered them on the back of the frame and foam mounted the whole piece on the cardbase.
Next card is made using the negative die cut panel of the frame I cut for the previous card.
I had also bunch of pink daisies (Daisy Collection (30-696)) left from the previous card. So I decided to make a CAS card using them :).
I created a bokeh background on a pink cardbase using white pigment ink and home made circle stencil. I splattered white opaque ink too. I arranged the daisies in the rhombic window of the front panel, adhered them on the back of the panel and foam mounted it on the cardbase.
I cut the sentiment using Celebrate & Enjoy (51-612) die from silver glitter cardsock and three more times from white cardstock. I stacked them together and added it to the card.
Next card is showcasing the Layered Leaves (51-633) die. I’ve made a simple card using the die and an alcohol inked YUPO panel.
The YUPO panel was colored in Limeade, Botanical and Hazelnut alcohol ink. After the alcohol ink was dry I splattered gold Mixative on the panel and let it dry. The sentiment from Magical Friendship (30-707) was stamped in StazOn black ink on the YUPO panel.
The Layered Leaves (51-633) was cut four times from some heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked them together. I heat embossed the uppermost layer in Iridescent Sparkle EP and added gold EP to the tip of each leaf.
I mounted the YUPO panel flat on a white cardbase and added the Layered Leaves (51-633) on it. I love how this turned out 🙂 !!!
My next card is mad using Petal Poetry (40-738) cling stamp. It’s a brushstroke image. Like other brushstroke stamps by Penny Black, it is GORGEOUS!
First I stamped the gorgeous peony cluster image on a watercolor paper in Picked Raspberry DI and various green shade of DIs. I used my MISTI tool to stamp the single image partly in different colors.
After the stamping was done I colored in the image using a water brush and Karin brush markers. I watercolored the right bottom edge in green and light brown, ink blended in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron DI over the area and splattered white opaque ink.
The sentiment from Magical Friendship (30-707) was stamped in a black pigment ink on the colored panel and clear heat embossed. I mounted the panel flat on a gray cardbase. I trimmed off a side of the colored panel to show a thin part of the cardbase.
The last card for today is showing the Vintage Postcard (40-743) cling stamp set and the Secret Garden (30-682) stamp set.
To start off I stamped the silhouette images of the Secret Garden (30-682) set on a watercolor paper panel using Distress inks. I used the mini cubes to stamp the images partly in different colors.
After stamping I colored the images using Karin brush markers and blended the colors with a water brush. The sentiment from Blooming Sentiments (30-703) set was stamped in black and clear heat embossed.
I masked off the images and the sentiment and stamped the Vintage Postcard (40-743) on the same panel in Watering Can archival ink. I trimmed the panel to slightly smaller than A2 size and glued it on a gray cardbase. To finish off I added some clear iridescent sequins.
So you have finally arrived at the end of my post! Thank you so much for staying with me through this long post. I hope I could showcase the beauty of the new stamp sets by Penny Black and inspire you with my cards today.
Hope you’re all doing well !
Stay healthy!
Hugs,
