Hello, crafty friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! We have arrived at the halfway point of The Flower Challenge #45 and it means it’s time for a reminder post π !
We are having a color challenge this month. You may use navy and one other color for your project. Of course floral elements should be the main actor!
Honestly I struggled with this theme. There are so many navy floral cards out there, but as I like coloring more than stamping or die cutting, it’s always so hard to keep my coloring mono- or dichromatic. After searching in Pinterest for a while, I decided to draw some flowers myself using navy watercolor.
To start off I masked the middle part of an A2 sized Canson watercolor paper panel and started watercoloring some small flowers and leaves using Gansai Tambi watercolor Nr.64 and Nr.66.
After the coloring was done I removed the masking tape and gold heat embossed the sentiment from Poppy Wishes stamp set by The Ton. I trimmed down the panel a bit and foam mounted it on a navy cardbase. I finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins (The Ton).
Thatβs it from me! Hope you enjoyed looking my card and got some idea how you will create your project π !

Have a peaceful week!

I wondered how you’d stick to just one color, TaeEun, and you did it beautifully. Your hand painted flowers are spectacular. What talent you have, my friend.
TaeEun, your amazing artistic talents show beautifully on this card. I mean, you always color your images perfectly but, on this card, you actually drew the images, I’m speechless, just stunning.
