Hello and Welcome to Tonic Studios September 2020 Stamp Release Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Marie Heiderscheit‘s blog, you are right on track! If you are lost on the way or want to start from the beginning of the blog hop, please head on over the the Tonic Studios UK blog!

I’m so excited to be part of this special blog hop, hosted by Tonic Studios. Huge thanks to Maria Willis who initiated this monthly stamp release!

Tonic Studios is launching a monthly stamp release! This will be happen on the last Friday of every month! It is not a subscription based program but the products are exclusive to Tonic Studios and the availability is limited! So you have to hurry if you like the new designs!

A beautiful floral stamp and die bundle called Heartfelt Corsage and a sentiment stamp set: Happy Mail Envelope are debuting this month! Stamps & dies come in high quality plastic envelopes with a tab for labeling and binder holes on the side which are compatible with A5 ring binders which you can purchase at Tonic Studios shop.

I’ve created two cards using the Heartfelt Corsage set.

To make the first card I started off by stamping the large floral cluster from Heartfelt Corsage stamp set two times on some Canson watercolor paper in Antique Linen DI.

I colored the flowers using Ecoline liquid watercolors. The leaves were colored in Golden Sparkler Nuvo Shimmer Powder. I mixed a bit of olive green for some of the leaves . The shimmer of the powder is hard to photograph, but it’s beautiful IRL ! I colored in the background using Meteorite Shower Nuvo Shimmer Powder, which I used for the background as well. I then cut the floral clusters using the coordinating die included in the bundle and set them aside.

To create the shimmery navy gray background I colored a watercolor paper panel in Meteorite Shower Nuvo Shimmer Powder using wet on wet coloring technique. After the panel was dry I adhered it on a white cardbase and foam mounted the floral clusters on diagonal corners as shown in the picture.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was white heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock. I fussy cut it and added it to the card on a nest of golden thread. I finished off the card with a few clear iridescent sequins.

The second card is nearly a CAS card. I just couldn’t resist adding the gorgeous Meteorite Shower Nuvo Shimmer Powder to the background. :)!

First I gold heat embossed the pretty rectangle with the cute florals from the Heartfelt Corsage stamp set on some watercolor paper. I colored the flowers using Ecoline liquid watercolors in the same color scheme like the first card. And I colored the background in Meteorite Shower Nuvo Shimmer Powder. After the panel was dry I stamped the sentiment in black and dry embossed the image using the coordinating die.

I trimmed off the panel into a slightly smaller size than A2 and foam mounted it on a navy cardbase. I stamped and colored a small floral cluster from the stamp set using no line coloring technique and added it to the card.

To finish off I added some enamel dots in the coordinating colors.

That’s it from my side! I hope you enjoyed looking my cards!
