Spellbinders – November 2020 Clear Stamp of the Month

Hello everyone ! Hope you’re all doing well! 

Have you heard that Spellbinders launched the new Clear Stamp of the Month Club this month? If you join the Clear Stamp of the Month Club, you’ll receive an expertly designed clear stamp set each month. The clear stamp of November 2020 is called Christmas Gem! 

The main image is a gem which is decorated with cute holiday bouquets. There are also small element stamps and holiday sentiments. 

I made two cards using this stamp set. 

On the first card I used the main image. 

I started off by making the background in gem colors. I used teal, purple and blue from Gansai Tambi watercolors. I splattered dark blue watercolor on the panel and let it dry. 

I gold heat embossed the image on it and colored the poinsettias, berries and small flowers using Karin brush markers. The sentiment was white heat embossed on the center of the gem.  I then cut the panel with A2 Distressed Edges die and foam mounted it on a teal cardbase. 

I colored the berries and the center of the flowers in white using a white glaze pen and finished off the card by scattering a few clear iridescent sequins. 

For the second card I made an ornament which shows the small elements from the stamp set. 

I made the red ombre panel using Gansai Tambi watercolors. After the panel was dry I cut a circle from the panel. Actually I planned to use it as the ornament, but I didn’t like the look. So I cut an extra circle from some white cardstock, silver heat embossed the sentiment and ink blended the outer area in red. I then stamped the small elements from the stamp set around the sentiment.

I foam mounted the background panel on a white cardbase and added the ornament with a silver mat on it. A silver bow and some clear rhinestones finished off the card.
