Hello and Happy Valentine’s day, crafty friends! Hope you’re having a lovely weekend!
I’m popping in to share a card with you today. It’s not a Valentine’s Day card though 🙂 . I have an encouragement card. I made it for the Pinkfresh Studio February 2021 Challenge!
This month the challenge at Pinkfresh Studio is all about Alphas/Words.
My card is featuring the Reset stamp and die set from the Pinkfresh Studio February Release. The Reset stamp set has a unique large sentiment and small floral images. I used the flowers for a previous card already and today I wanted to use the sentiment, as I thought it fits with the challenge theme. As the backdrop for the large sentiment I chose Seamless Starburst Circles. I also followed the color scheme of the challenge graphic. First I had a struggle with the red after I stamped the Reset sentiment in other four colors but found a way to use red in my card! So let’s take a look!
To begin, I cut a white cardstock using the Reset coordinating die and stamped the sentiments in Ocean Breeze, Coral Reef, Sweet Mustard and Grassy Knoll and set it aside to work on the background!
The Seamless Starburst Circles were stenciled in Fairy Dust, Rise and Shine, Over the Hills, Island Oasis and Urban Raincoat color families. After the stenciling was done I silver heat embossed the Seamless Starburst Circles stamp on the stenciled image.
To complete the color scheme I cut a frame from red cardstock using Stitched Rectangles die set. I adhered a piece of marble vellum on the back of the frame. I added the Reset sentiment on the vellum and the whole frame with the sentiment onto the card using foam tape. To finish off I scattered a few yellow, light blue, pink and green Jewels!
