Hello everyone!
Both of the two challenges where I’m a DT member have new challenges starting today 🙂 ! So I’m popping in again!
It’s time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday! Vicki chose our new Toppings Option and she wants to see three shades of green on our projects!
I used three green shades from Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors: Key Lime, Emerald City and Aquamarine. I hope teal can be counted as one shade of green 🙂 !
Btw Pinkfresh Studio watercolors are on sale at 50% off until supplies last. Emerald City is sold out but the other two colors are still available!
I wanted to use the small die from the Braided Oval die set for my sentiment. So I cut an oval mask in the size of the die and masked the center of a Canson XL watercolor paper panel with it. Then I drew the leaves in the three green shades around the oval shape. After I removed the mask I ink blended Grassy Knoll ink on the oval and on the base part of the leaves.
I cut the Braided Oval from a white cardstock, stamped the sentiment from Happy Birthday Sentiments in Detail Black and gold heat embossed “Wish Big”.
I foam mounted the watercolored panel on a teal cardbase and added the oval sentiment panel on it using foam tape. To finish off I scattered a few green Jewels.
That was my green card! Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from our Surprise Party Guest, Carol Mayne from Just Me: C and my talented team mates and don’t forget to play along!
Thank you for looking!
Hugs,
TaeEun
I’m seeing green all over blogland today… wish I had the green to buy it ALL!!

Wow! So beautiful! I am totally intimidated by green, but you rocked it!
I love this sentiment and it is a great way to show it off with the oval and the background of spring leaves.
BA BAM! Loving those bright greens!!
This oval shaped leafy wreath is really wonderful TaeEun and love the combination of colours and the pretty ornate sentiment oval with the green blended mat beneath and love the gold embossed and black elements of the stamped sentiment which works well and love the coordinating bright blue base card which really makes it all pop. x
Beautiful! I think we can definitely count this as three shades of green. 😉 And of course you painted the leaves, because you’re amazing!
