Hello and welcome to The Ton Spring 2021 Release!
Have you checked the whole new release on The Ton’s blog? It’s a huge release with 19 new inks which are also available in mini cube sets and reinkers, three grouped layering stamp sets with coordinating dies, beautiful outline floral designs, Baroque frame designs, a unique Palm Layering stencil set, Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate die set, Seed Envelope die and Poppy Pop Up die set with coordinating stencil set.
I’m especially excited about the new ink colors! Here are they!
I made four cards to showcase today’s release.
My first card is showcasing the Poppy Pop Up die set, Baroque Frame and some of the new inks!
For the card front I stamped the Grouped Layering Poppy Wishes stamp set in Bubble Gum, Cherry, Wine, Matcha, Spring Salad and Basil Mojito and cut the images using the coordinating die.
The Baroque Frame was heat embossed in Copper. I cut it using the coordinating die and ink blended Warm Hazelnut on it. I cut a beige panel using the Double Pierced Rectangle die and mounted it flat on a white cardbase and foam mounted the frame and the poppy images on it.
I cut the petals of the Poppy Pop Up from some red cardstock and ink blended the outer edge of the petals in Wine. The leaves were cut from some watercolor paper I colored in yellow and green. I added Matcha on it by ink blending. Actually this Poppy Pop Up set has a coordinating stencil set. I haven’t got it yet because of delayed delivery. You can preoder the Poppy Pop Up die set and the coordinating stencil set!
I also cut a circle for the stamen, colored it in green and brown and adhered it on the center of the Poppy. I added white ink splatters on the poppy and assembled it as supposed. (You can find the instruction video on The Ton blog and The Ton YouTube channel.)
I added some sequins from Hot Cocoa Couture Mix on the front of the card to finish it off.
The second card is showing the Jumbo Spider Mum set and Many Mums cling stamp.
I stamped the Mum flower and leaves in a light ink and watercolored them. I colored the petals one by one for a no line coloring look. I cut them with the coordinating dies and set them aside.
To create the background I heat embossed the Many Mums stamp in white pearl EP on a white shimmer cardstock panel. I cut a frame from it with Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested dies and foam mounted it on a white cardbase. I mounted the rest of the panel flat on the cardbase and added the mum flower and leaves to the card.
The sentiment is from Grouped Fresh Carnations set. I white heat embossed it on a piece of purple cardstock and fussy cut it. I added it with a strip of silver glitter cardstock on the mum. For some bling I scattered some Glass Slippers sequins and the card was finished.
Next one is featuring Gladiola Cheer stamp set and the Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate die set.
I started off by heat embossing the Gladiola Cheer image in Rose Gold. I then watercolored it in pink and orange and cut it with the coordinating die.
The Gingham Plaid layers were cut from some white cardstock. Before I adhered it on a white cardbase I ink blended the cardbase in Grape Crush, the base layer of the Gingham Plaid in Iris Blooms and the second layer in Soft Amethyst. I left the uppermost layer in white and layered them all up on the cardbase.
The sentiment is from Baroque Frame set. I stamped it in Grape Crush on a piece of white cardstock and cut it with a die from Scalloped A2 Nested die set. The finishing touch for this card was some sequins from Pink Bokeh Couture Mix and Glass Slippers sequins.
The last card for today is showcasing the unique Happy Palm grouped layering stamp set. This palm tree image is so cool! There is also a Palm layering Stencil for this palm image in a larger version.
I stamped the palm tree in pink and purple in an ombre fashion. The stamp image has four layers. The pink part was stamped in Ballet Slippers, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan pink and Pink Derby and the purple part in Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, Grape Crush and Violet Fringe. I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
For the background I used again the Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate die set. I cut three layers from some white cardstock and heat embossed the second layer in clear iridescent EP. I layered them up on a white cardbase and foam mounted the palm tree on it.
The sentiment is from Baroque Frame set. I white heat embossed it on a purple cardstock and cut it with a die from Double Pierced Rectangles die set.
I finished this card with some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.
Hope you enjoyed looking my cards and got some inspiration.
