Hello everyone!
It’s time for a reminder card for the latest Flower Challenge with the theme ” ADD SPOTS or STRIPES”. I think it is an easy theme 🙂 ! Just don’t forget to make flowers your main actor for your project!
For my card I used the Blossoms and Berries stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio. It is the coordinating stamp for the washi tape with the same name.
I stamped the one-piece stamp in Peach Fuzz and watercolored the images using my watercolor palette. For yellow roses I used New Gamboge, Aussie Red Gold (Daniel Smith) and Cadmium Yellow (QoR). The red hues are watercolors from Schmincke (Rose Madder, Magenta, Permanent Carmine, Rubin Red Deep). Most of the greens are from Daniel Smith (Phthalo Green, Green Gold). It’s hard to say which color I exactly used, as I mix a lot 🙂 .
After the coloring was done I cut the images using the one-piece die and set them aside.
To create the stripy background I cut a white panel using the Color Block Diagonal Stripes die (Pinkfresh Studio). I secured the stripes with washi tape on the front, added foam tape to the stripes on the back and adhered the stripes alternately on a white cardbase.
For the sentiment I cut an oval panel using the small die from Blanket Stitched Oval die set and stamped the sentiment from the Hydrangea and Rose stamp set in Detail Black.
I added the oval panel to the card and arranged the Blossoms and Berries images on it using foam tape. I finished off the card with a few Silver Pearls.
That’s it from me!

SO, SO beautiful!! You are a master at coloring!
Another beautiful look with the prettily coloured flowers TaeEun, and the white striped background looks great and love the ornate oval sentiment mat in the centre framed by these wonderful flowers. x
Amazing watercolouring of your gorgeous flowers and berries, Tae Eun. A beautiful and colourful mix used on your sprays that look so pretty nesting around the oval sentiment. Love the creative way you’ve used your striped border. The dimesion adds so much to the design. xx
Stunning! The watercoloring is so fresh and vibrant!
TaeEun, what gorgeous watercolored flowers and fruits, love the colors, so vibrant and fresh.
The die-cut stripes are the perfect background for your beautiful images and sweet sentiment.
