Happy New Year!!!
May the new year bless you with health, happiness and creativity 🙂 !
I finally could make some cards over the last week of 2021 using some new items from Hello Winter Collection by Penny Black. Today I want to share three of them with you.
The first card is featuring the sweet snowman family from Hug a Snowman set (30-887). I made a one layer card!
I stamped the image on a Canson XL watercolor paper panel in black pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then watercolored the snowman family very lightly in violet, purple and blue and colored the hats and scarfs in vibrant colors. I then drew the hills and a bit of light blue background. To add the blue sky I first cut a frame as a mask using a die from Stitched Frames die set (51-709), placed the mask on the panel and ink blended Salty Ocean DI. To add some interesting texture to the card I dry embossed the panel with the die that I used to cut the mask.
The sentiment from When Snow Falls (30-881) set was stamped in black and clear heat embossed. I adhered the panel on a white cardbase and the card was finished!
The second card is featuring the lady from Cozy Cuppa cling stamp (40-810). This stamp image has a tiny bird looking at the lady from the table but my card is showing only the lady with a cup of hot beverage.
I stamped the lady on a watercolor paper in black and watercolored her in warm red, orange and yellow tones. I colored the top of the panel in light brown.
I cut a frame using Snowflake Frame die set (51-565) from Canson Mixed Media paper and watercolored the top part in light brown and gold.
I adhered the colored panel on a white cardbase and foam mounted the frame on it.
The sentiment is from Snow Beauty set (30-850). It is a mini set with fabulous winter themed sentiments ! I added a yellow rhinestone on the snowflake of the hat to finish off the card.
The last card for today is showcasing the Winter Blooms cling stamp (40-800). Again I used a frame to give a finished look to my card.
I stamped the Winter Blooms image once on a gray A2 panel in gray ink and again on a watercolor paper panel in Antique Linen DI. I cut a frame from the gray panel using a die from the Stitched Frames die set (51-709) and set it aside.
I then watercolored the beautiful bouquet. After watercoloring I added some shades and details to the image using Polychromos colored pencils. I drew the stamen using a black fine liner and stamped the sentiment from When Snow Falls (30-881) set on the colored panel in black.
I adhered the colored panel on a white cardbase and foam mounted the gray frame.
That’s it for today!!! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards 🙂 !
There will be more winter themed cards posted soon!!!
Wishing you a great start of the New Year!
Hugs,
TaeEun

Wishing you a very Happy New Year TaeEun and I look forward to lots of your great creativity here in 2020, shown here with all these interesting designs using some new PB stamps. I love the snow family and the sweet little dog and I love the blue ink blended rectangle behind them and the snowy foreground, and then the pretty figure with her cup of something hot inside that beautiful frame which looks perfect with that bit of yellow, and then the beautiful vase of flowers again in a fabulous frame and a great contrast in that strong grey. x
