Hello and happy Friday everyone!
It’s time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge blog! The theme for February is OCCASIONS! I used Just a Hello Floral stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio with a sentiment for a congratulations or encouragement card. This is a CASE of my own card that I loved 🙂 .
I started by gold heat embossing the floral image from Just a Hello Floral set on Neenah solar white cardstock. I colored the image using the coordinating Layering stencil set. I stenciled the first layer in Coral Reef, Ballet Slipper (flowers) and Sunshine (berries). The second layer was stenciled in Bubble Gum, Candy Apple (flowers) and Apricot (Berries). The small flowers were stenciled in Lavender and the leaves in Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine. The stenciled images were cut with the coordinating die.
The stenciled background featuring the Slimline Diamond Builder was a leftover piece from another card I shared in August, 2021. I used Lemon Whip, Sunshine, Sweet Mustard and Marigold to stencil the diamond pattern. I cut the panel into two pieces, adhered strips which were ink blended in Marigold on one end of each piece and foam mounted them on a white cardbase.
Next I added the floral clusters using foam tape to the background. The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in gold and cut with the coordinating die.
A vellum butterfly from Small Butterflies hot foil plate and some Sunshine jewels were my finishing touch. The butterfly was hot foiled in turquoise and stenciled in Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Sunshine and Apricot.
