Hello eveyone! Hope you’re having a lovely weekend!
Today I have six cards to share with you which I made using some items from the Springtime 2022 Collection by Penny Black. I chose some beautiful floral stamps and also a panel from the Bright Bouquets set from the new Masterpieces Made Simple series. There are lots of pictures to show you 🙂 ! So let’s get started !
The first card is featuring the Garden Fragrance (40-846) set. I love Penny Black’s floral designs and this one is no exception!
I stamped the Garden Fragrance (40-846) in Antique Linen DI on CANSON watercolor paper and watercolored the image. The watercoloring here isn’t that detailed. I only focused on the shades on the petals. As the stamp is a bit large for an A2 sized panel, I decided to make a 4,5″ x 6.25″ card.
I cut the left edge of the watercolored panel using a die from the Border Collection (51-717) set and dry embossed the right side with the Textural die (51-729) to add some interest.
The sentiment from Not Older, Better (30-896) set was heat embossed directly on the colored panel in Liquid Platinum.
I foam mounted the panel on a creme cardbbase on which I ink blended Antique Linen DI.
For some bling I added a few clear iridescent sequins and the card was done!
The second card is showcasing Pansies (40-818) cling stamp. For this image I chose the no line watercoloring technique again.
I stamped the Pansies (40-818) in Antique Linen DI and watercolored the pansies in blue, purple and violet. After the coloring was done I heat embossed the sentiment from Not Older, Better (30-896) set in white on the right bottom corner of the panel and ink blended Salted Ocean DI on it.
I cut the left border of the colored panel using the Wavy Stitch Edges (51-418) die . To add texture on the background I cut the left edge of a navy cardbase using a die from the Cross Stitch Borders (51-727) set and added the colored panel to it using foam tape.
Next card is showing the Fresh Bouquet (40-841) cling stamp set.
I stamped the Fresh Bouquet (40-841) in an embossing ink on some gray cardstock. I colored the image using my Prismacolor colored pencils and stamped the image again in an embossing ink to heat emboss it in white.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set in silver on some torn vellum. I adhered the vellum strip on the colored panel and die cut the whole panel using the largest die from the Ornate Frames (51-732) set.
I made a white cardbase by cutting two panels using the Ornate Frames (51-732) die and adhering them on the top. I mounted the colored panel flat on the cardbase and added a white butterfly which was cut using the Soaring (51-731) die set.
Next card is a slimline card which features the From My Heart (40-845) cling stamp set.
I stamped the image in black pigment ink on Bristol smooth paper panel and watercolored it with Karin brush markers. I also colored the background in purple focusing on the right side.
After the coloring was done I cut the panel using the outline dies from the Slimline Zig Zag (51-733) die set and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.
The sentiment from the Not Older, Better (30-896) set was stamped in a black pigment ink. I cut it with a speech bubble die from A Pocket Full (51-053) die set and added it to the card with foam tape.
It’s a simple card but I love how it turned out 🙂 !
Next flower is Iris! This stamp set is called Iris Elegance (40-848) .
I stamped the Iris Elegance (40-848) once and masked the image and stamped it again on the right bottom corner in a black pigment ink.
To pick the colors I googled a bit and found some violet irises with yellow-orange tips. I watercolored the irises in the similar colors.
After the panel was dry I cut it using the largest die from the Stitched Frames (51-709) die set. I foam mounted the frame on a white cardbase and adhered the central part flat after I ink blended the bottom edge of it in Mowed Lawn DI.
The sentiment from the Not Older, Better (30-896) set was stamped directly on the colored panel in black.
I added a small butterfly which was cut using the Soaring (51-731) die set from some watercolor paper and colored in yellow. Two tiny yellow rhinestones on the butterfly were my finishing touch!
For the last card I used the Bright Bouquets (50-008) Masterpieces Made Simple set along with the Slimline Zig-Zag (51-733) die set.
I chose a pretty drawing from the Bright Bouquets (50-008) Masterpieces Made Simple set and cut it in three pieces to fill the square windows of the front panel.
I marked the windows on a white slimline cardbase and adhered the pieces of the drawing on the marked places.
To create the front panel I watercolored a slimline sized watercolor paper panel in pink, purple and yellow green and let it dry. After the panel was dry I cut it using all three dies from the Slimline Zig-Zag (51-733) die set.
The sentiment from the Love Big (30-898) set was stamped in black on the front panel. I foam mounted the front panel on the cardbase and added three butterflies with a pink rhinestone to each window. The Butterflies were cut using the Hydrangea (51-610) die set.
That’s it!
Thank you so much for staying with me through this long post 🙂 ! I hope I could show you the beauty of the Springtime 2022 Collection by Penny Black!
Wishing you all a crafty weekend and a great week ahead!
