Hello friends!
Today I have a trio of holiday cards to share with you. They are featuring three Word Edger die sets from Christmastime 2022 Collection by Penny Black. Each die set has a word die and a shadow edger die, which I think is very unique!
The first card was made using the Merry Edger (51-745) die along with an image from the Snow Cute (30-942) stamp set from the Winter Dream 2022 Collection and All Things Evergreen (40-764) cling stamp.
To start I stamped the cute bears riding on a sleigh from Snow Cute (30-942) set on some watercolor paper panel in black and watercolored the image and the snow covered hill.
Next I masked the image and the hill and stamped the trees from the All Things Evergreen (40-764) in Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive DI. I then went over the trees with a wet brush to blend the colors and drew the snow using a white gel pen. I ink blended the sky in Salty Ocean DI. While ink blending I used a DIY cloud stencil.
I cut the word Merry using the Merry Edger (51-745) die from some dark green cardstock and cut the white panel using the shadow edger die. I foam mounted the white panel on the card and added the word.
Next card is showing the Peace Edger (51-746) die. The cute bear holding a festive bouquet is from the Love & Magic (30-923) set.
First I stamped the bear from the Love & Magic (30-923) in Potting Soil archival ink on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored it. I wanted to keep the card simple so I didn’t add anything to the background. The die cut sentiment was cut using the Peace Edger (51-746) die . I cut it from some silver glitter paper and layered it up on three white die cut words. As I didn’t want to cover the bear, I didn’t use the shadow edger die for this card.
I adhered tiny yellow rhinestones on the center of the small yellow flowers and the card was done !
The last Edger die I want to show you is the Joy Edger (51-744). To pair with the Edger die I used Loads of Cheer (30-920) stamp set.
I stamped the Loads of Cheer (30-920) image on a watercolor paper panel in Potting Soil archival ink and watercolored the bear with a Christmas tree.
I cut the joy three times from some white cardstock and layered them. The shadow panel was cut from some white cardstock and ink blended in Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple and Fired Brick DI for an orange-red ombre look.
For some sparkle I covered the large star and some parts of the tree with yellow Stickles and added some orange and red rhinestones to the card.
The edger dies are so versatile to use. I love the cute and fancy font of the words and with the shadow die you could achieve an awesome effect!
Please check out the holiday items by Penny Black ! I’m sure, it wouldn’t be hard to find your favorites from them!
Thank you so much for looking my cards!
Have a great one!

These edgers are a great idea and make a great finishing touch to a card, and these three cute PB images go beautifully with them, of course just brilliantly coloured and kept understated which is perfect as you don’t need anything more on these delightful cards TaeEun. x
Okay, let Christmas season begin!! I adore Penny Black at Christmas – you’ve colored these bears so sweetly, TaeEun!

These dies are wonderful, especially the Joy – hope that they will do some others after the holidays for general greetings! Thanks for sharing!!!
