It’s time for the last challenge of this year at The Flower Challenge! The Theme for December is CHRISTMAS !!!
For my Christmas slimline card I used the Jumbo Bauble (51-743), Holly-days (51-741) die sets and the Scarlet (40-861) cling stamp from the Christmastime 2022 collection by Penny Black.
To start I stamped the Scarlet (40-861) on a watercolor paper panel in Distress inks. To stamp the poinsettia I used the Candied Apple and the pine needles and berries were stamped in Antique Linen. Next I watercolored the image and cut the panel using the circle die from the Jumbo Bauble (51-743) die set. I also cut the other elements from the die set and watercolored them and let them dry.
To create the colorful bright background I colored the slimline sized watercolor paper panel using Gansai Tambi watercolor in red, yellow and green as shown in the picture. After the panel was dry I cut it using the outline die from the Slimline Medley (51-718) die set and splattered white opaque ink on it. After the splatters were dry I foam mounted the background panel on a dark red slimline cardbase.
I cut the branch and berries of the Holly-days (51-741) die set from some watercolor paper, colored the berries in red and arranged them on the top of my card as shown. I tied the Jumbo Bauble (51-743) on the branch underneath some berries. The sentiment is from the Jolly Snippets (30-925) set.
To finish off the card I added a red rhinestone on the bow of the bauble and covered the berries with Glossy Accents.
I love how this turned out! The huge bauble is perfect for some holiday drawings !

Beautiful as always and I love the painted background cut with that uneven edge die, and the bauble is large enough for you to get a really pretty poinsettia and foliage onto it TaeEun, and love the white holly die cut with the glossy berries to hang it from….a super card! x
