Hello crafty friends! It’s already time for a reminder post for the February Flower Challenge with the theme “USE YOUR LATEST STAMPS OR DIES”.
For my reminder post I colored the gorgeous flowers of the Wonderful in Every Way set from the January Release by Pinkfresh Studio using alcohol ink.
I started by coloring the background. I sprayed lots of rubbing alcohol on an alcohol ink cardstock and dropped Sandal and Mountain Rose ink on it. I moved the ink using an air blower to blend until I was happy with the result.
After the panel was dry I heat embossed the Wonderful in Every Way image on it in gold. I then colored the floral image. For the flowers I used Shell Pink, Mountain Rose and Flamingo alcohol ink. The leaves were colored in Limeade and Botanical. I colored the image by dropping and moving the ink. For the small areas I used micro-applicators.
After the coloring was done I splattered Gold Mixative on the panel and let it dry.
Next I trimmed down the panel and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I heat embossed it in gold and cut using the coordinating die. Lastly the card was embellished with a few Gold Glitter Drops.
That’s it from me! Please head on over to the Flower Challenge blog. My talented team mates created some gorgeous projects to inspire you !
