Hello everyone!
Today I have four cards to share which I made using some new items from the Cherished 2023 Collection by Penny Black. Three of them are a set that features the floral images from the Charisma (30-969) stamp set. I placed them on alcohol inked backgrounds to make cards in the CAS look.
The first card is featuring the Watering Can (51-766) die set from the Cherished 2023 Collection. For the DIY background I used the Exuberance (30-968) mini stamp.
To start I die cut the watering can and the flowers from some watercolor paper using the Watering Can (51-766). I cut lots of flowers from small pieces of leftover watercolor paper 🙂 . I watercolored the edge of the watering can in light blue and gray and the flowers in various bright colors. After they were dry and curved up the petals using a small ball tool.
To create the background I first ink blended an A2 sized Neenah solar white panel in pink and yellow. I then stamped the Exuberance (30-968) in Worn Lipstick Distress oxide ink filling the whole panel. Next I cut a circle from the panel using a die from the Stitched Circles (51-551) set. I adhered the circle and a layer of vellum on it on a white cardbase. I stamped the sentiment from the Exuberance (30-968) set in black on the background panel and foam mounted it on the cardbase.
I then added the watering can and the flowers using foam tape to the card.
To make the next trio I used the Charisma (30-969) and Charisma Cut Out (51-771). I made these cards in the same way. So I’ll describe the process once. The different items I used are mentioned under the main image of each card.
I gold heat embossed the images of the Charisma (30-969) set on some watercolor paper and watercolored them. I cut them using the Charisma Cut Out (51-771) and set them aside.
Next I made the background panel using alcohol inks and Yupo paper. I dropped two colors of alcohol inks on Yupo paper, added rubbing alcohol and used a hair dryer to move the inks as I wanted. For some golden accent I mixed Brass von Pinata while I was working on the background.
I foam mounted the watercolored floral images on the background panel and added sentiments to them which were white heat embossed on strips of black cardstock.
For this card I colored the background in Sunshine Yellow and Lettuce. The background panel was cut using the Swirly Stitches (51-502) die and foam mounted on a kraft cardbase. The sentiment is from the Doggone Great (30-534) stamp set.
For this card I mixed Mountain Rose and Cloudy Blue. This panel was cut using the Stitched Nested Frames (51-535) die and foam mounted on a soft pink cardbase. I cut the right side of the front of the cardbase using the Textural (51-729) die to add some interest.
The sentiment is from the Happy Mail (30-950) stamp set.
For this card I colored the background in Pink Sherbet and Cloudy Blue and cut the bottom edge of the background panel using a die from the Border Collection (51-717) die set.
The sentiment is from the Happy Mail (30-950) stamp set.
That’s it for today!

Some beautiful cards TaeEun and love the floral theme throughout, and with all apart from the first featuring some really pretty alcohol ink backgrounds with them place in different really delightful bottles and jars, and the first has that stamped floral background which looks great, and love the profusion of little flowers displayed in the watering can this time. x
