The Ton Layering Stencils Instagram Hop – Week 1

Hello everyone! 

The Ton has started today a special series of Instagram Hops! Every week the designers will showcase the beautiful layering stencils by The Ton at the hop.

My card is showing the Gentle Peonies Layering Stencils. Using this stencil set you can create a 6” x 6”panel filled with beautiful peonies in two color tones.

If you use four inks from the same color family you will get darker and brighter peonies in the same color . But I used three pink and three purple inks for my card and stenciled the peonies of the stencils separately.

To stencil the pink peonies I used Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star and Cosmopolitan Pink and for the purple ones Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms and Violet Fringe. The leaves were stenciled in Periwinkle and Stormy Sea. For the stamen of the flowers I used Lemon Drop. 

To make a A2 sized card I cut the panel using a die from the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested Die set and cut the upper part of it using a Border die from the Slimline Border die set. I also cut a strip from some white cardstock using the same border die and adhered it on the stenciled panel as shown in the picture. 

I stamped the sentiment from the Coming Up Peonies stamp set in Noir on the top right corner of a white cardbase and foam mounted the stenciled panel on it. 

For some bling I added a lot of Soft Pink Gems to the scallop border of the front panel.
