Hello everyone!
Are you enjoying The Ton’s Layering Stencils Instagram Hop? It’s third week and I’m again having the honor to participate in the hop 🙂 ! To Hop along please visit my Instagram account!
Today I want to show you a combination of a stamp set and the coordinating layering stencil set. There are several such items. Please check out The Ton online shop to see them! I chose the Coming Up Peonies stamp set and the Climbing Peonies Layering Stencils set.
I started off by heat embossing the Coming Up Peonies image in gold on Neenah solar white cardstock. I colored the peonies mainly in pink and added some orange tone to them. The ink colors I used for the flowers are Bubblegum, Dolled Up, Deep Peony, Peach Blossom and Coralline Hybrid ink. The leaves and the stems were stenciled in Meadow and Bright Emerald.
After the stenciling was done I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
For a dark background I pulled out a dark brown cardbase. To brighten the center I ink blended the area in white and made the perimeter darker by ink blending Dark Roast.
Next I splattered white opaque ink on the front of the cardbase and let it dry.
I added some texture to the background by dry embossing the front of the cardbase using the Convention coverplate die and foam mounted the floral image on it.
The sentiment from the Easy Expressions: Sympathy set was partly gold heat embossed and partly stamped in Noir, cut using the coordinating die and added to the card.
My finishing touch for this card was Metallic Rose Gold Opaque Rhinestones.
Please hop along with us on Instagram. Many fellow crafters are joining us to showcase the beautiful floral layering stencils by The Ton!
Have fun hopping along!
Thank you so much!

You always come up with such great design ideas TaeEun, and love the contrast of the brown background with the detail of the coverplate over it to the beautiful shades of pink in the flowers, and finished perfectly with the spattering and rose gold rhinestones and a lovely sentiment..a wonderful sympathy crd. x
