Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio “Magical Holiday” Release Blog Hop !!!

If you arrived here from the Raquel Arribas’ Blog, you’re right on track. If not, please head on over to the Pinkfresh Studio Card blog to get all the information about the full release and to start the blog hop!

It’s release day at Pinkfresh StudioMagical Holiday is the theme of this Release 🎄, featuring a wide range of festive holiday items. The collection includes a washi tape suite, a fun background coverplate, and beautiful holiday stamp, die, stencil, and press plate suites, as well as a holiday sentiment suite!

I made three cards using the Deck the Halls Washi product suite to celebrate the Magical Holiday Release today.

For my first card I chose the classic holiday color palette with a fiery red background.

To start, I stamped the Deck the Halls stamp images on watercolor paper in Detail Black and watercolored them with the new liquid watercolors, which will be released soon. These will come in three sets of twelve colors each, allowing you to mix any color you want.

I colored the berries in various shades of yellow, orange and red tones to give them a dynamic and modern look. After finishing the watercoloring, I cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

To create the red ombré  background, I first ink blended a white panel in Mimosa, keeping the central circle uncolored. Next, I ink blended Candy Apple and then Mulberry Blush, making the panel darker red towards its perimeter.

To add more interest to the background, I pressed the Poinsettia Frame to the ink blended panel, inking the central part of the press plate in Mimosa and the outer part in Mulberry Blush to create a gradient effect. I then splattered white opaque ink on the background panel and let it dry.

I cut the panel with a die from the Stitched Rectangles die set and foam mounted it on a white cardbase. Next, I added the watercolored open wreath image and two small images to the card using foam tape, forming a closed wreath as shown in the picture.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in white on a piece of paper which was ink blended in Mulberry Blush

I finished off this card with a few Scarlet Clear Drops

For the second card for today, I silber heat embossed the Deck the Halls stamp images and stenciled them using the coordinating stencil set

To stencil the images, I chose a pastel color scheme. There are four stencils for the greenery, and I used Peony, Hydrangea, Spruce Tips and Turquoise for them. The Ornaments were stenciled in Hydrangea and Waterfall. I left the berries uncolored ,cut the images using the coordinating die, and set them aside.

To create the ombré blue background, I ink blended a white panel in Waterfall, Turquoise, Paradise and Atlantis, making the panel darker towards the top. I then cut the panel using the Festive Grid die and adhered it to a light blue cardbase. I splattered white opaque ink on the top of the card and let it dry.

After the card was completely dry, I added the stenciled elements from the Deck the Halls images as shown in the picture using foam adhesives.

The sentiment from the Deck the Halls stamp set was stamped in Paradise, cut using the coordinating die, and foam mounted at the bottom of the card.

For added interest, I covered the ornaments with a clear glitter pen and the berries using White Pico embellisher. The Turquoise Clear Drops were my finishing touch for this card.

The last card showcases the Deck the Halls Washi tape. You only need to die cut the images of the Washi tape with gold foiling to get those beautiful images already colored!

First, I adhered the Washi tape on white cardstock and die cut the images. To get the right color combination, I compared the color of the Washi image with Pinkfresh Studio ink pads and decided to go with Cherry Blossom and Fresh Pear.

I created a plaid pattern for the background using the Diagonal Plaid press plate in those two colors. I slightly trimmed down the A2 sized background panel and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.

To give the festive images  a place to sit, I cut a white circle using the small die from the Stitched Scallop Circle die set and ink blended the central circle in Cherry Blossom. I adhered it directly on the upper right area of the card and added the scalloped frame to it using foam tape. Next, I arranged the elements from the Deck the Halls Washi tape on the frame using foam tape as shown in the picture.

The sentiment was hot foiled in gold using the Magical Holiday press plate and cut with the coordinating die. I added the sentiment with a small festive branch with the red berries to the card.

I scattered three Blush Clear Drops, and the card was done.
