For today’s card I used the Nested Squares : Diagonal Stitch and Blanket Stitched Brackets die sets from this release. For the floral focal image, I used the Print Shop: Modern Botanicals product suite.
To start, I pressed the Print Shop: Modern Botanicals in black on white cardstock and colored the images using the coordinating stencil set. I stenciled the purple flowers in Soft Lilac and Lavender, the pink ones in Sparkling Rose, and the blue ones in Sky Blue. The leaves were stenciled in Meadow and Grassy Knoll. After stenciling, I cut the images with the coordinating die.
For the background, I began by watercoloring a mixed media paper panel with Seaside and Opulence watercolors (to be released soon). After the panel dried, I cut it using the Nested Squares : Diagonal Stitch die and splattered purple ink on it. I also cut a small square from the panel, which I then ink blended with Lavender and Summer Shower inks as shown in the picture to make it darker than the background.
The white front panel was cut with the Blanket Stitched Brackets die. I stamped the sentiment from the Kindness in Bloom stamp set in Detail Black at the bottom of the white panel.
I cut violet cardstock into a square, added it to a white square cardbase, and foam mounted the watercolored square panel. Next, I added the white panel with foam tape, followed by the small square. I then arranged the flowers along with some white branches cut with the Curvy Foliage die.
Finally I finished off the card with a few Amethyst Glitter Drops.
