A Festive Card – Beautiful Botanicals Suite – Pinkfresh Studio

Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start!

I’m sharing this festive card on the Pinkfresh Studio Card Blog today. This festive card for any occasion features the Beautiful Botanicals suite from the Gentle Greetings & Greenery Release.
The Beautiful Botanicals set includes nine small yet quite organic-looking floral images that can be used for creating backgrounds or as individual elements, cut with the coordinating die. 

I started by ink bending an A2 sized red cardstock panel with Berrylicious and Candy Apple inks. I inked the panel except for the central area in Berrylicious and added Candy Apple only around the edges to achieve an ombré effect.

Next, I pressed the Beautiful Botanicals in Berrylicous onto this background panel. I stenciled the florals with Calico White pigment ink for subtle definition and die cut the images using the coordinating die. I then splattered white opaque ink onto the neagative piece of the die cut background panel and set it aside to dry. 

Once the panel was dry, I adhered the negative panel onto a red cardbase and foam mounted the floral images back into their original positions. 

For the main focal point, I hot foiled the Beautiful Botanicals image in Berry and die cut it. I used the central flower from the foiled images and layered it over the background’s central flower using foam tape. 

The white frame was cut using the Dotted Fancy Frames die set. I stacked four layers of the frame, cut from white cardstock, to add extra dimension. 

For the sentiment, I cut the word using the Basic Sentiments Die set. I cut it four times from white cardstock and once from Glacier Glitter Cardstock to add sparkle.

I finished off the card with a few Champagne Glitter Drops.
