Hello, everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!
Today I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio Card Blog with a watercolored floral card featuring the Peony Perfection stamp, Steeped in Kindness suite, and Leafy Lattice Press Plate from the latest Release! As watercolors I used the Ink pads 🙂 !
As you might know, I love coloring with all kinds of mediums. While the coordinating layering stencils make it easy to color the Peony Perfection stamp, I wanted to try a watercolor-style look instead. For a soft, no-line coloring effect, I stamped the images in Peach Fuzz ink and used Pinkfresh Studio ink pads as watercolors to bring the flowers to life.

The Peony Perfection blooms were stamped in Peach Fuzz on watercolor paper for a no-line effect. I pressed ink pads onto a clear acetate sheet over white paper, misted with water, and used it as a watercolor palette. The flowers were painted in Sweet Mustard, Clementine, Peony, and Raspberry Bliss, while the leaves were colored with Grassy Knoll, Sweet Mustard, Olive, and Eucalyptus. Once dry, I cut the images using the coordinating die.

The tea pot from the Steeped in Kindness suite was stenciled in Peach Fuzz, Warm Buff, and Sheer Freesia and cut with the coordinating die. To add dimension, I layered three extra die-cut tea pots beneath the stenciled one.
The background was ink-blended with Espresso and Stargazer and misted with water for texture. I then dry embossed it with the Leafy Lattice Press Plate for added detail.

The floral cluster was arranged over the tea pot, with the sentiment pressed in Stargazer ink and die-cut before being placed on top. To finish, I added Gold and Amethyst Glitter Drops for a touch of sparkle.

I’m glad I gave this technique a try! I sometimes used this method for backgrounds, but this was my first time watercoloring detailed floral images with Pinkfresh Studio ink pads. It worked beautifully, and I’m really happy with the result. I hope I could inspire you with my card today!
Thank you so much for stopping by !
