Pinkfresh Studio “Artful Foundations” Release Blog Hop

It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio ! The Artful Foundations Release showcases fresh, modern designs, featuring unique florals and a variety of versatile background dies that can be combined to create richly layered card designs !

My first card features the Refined Grid and the gorgeous Wild Meadow Wreath product suites from this release. The Refined Grid suite includes a lattice-style coverplate die, along with a coordinating stencil set. The stencil set includes three different patterns, with two stencils for each design, and they work with the coverplate die. For this card, I chose the heart-patterned stencils. 

I began by stenciling the Wild Meadow Wreath using the following ink combinations:

• pink flowers: Sparkling Rose, Raspberry Bliss
• orange flowers:  Apricot, Raspberry Bliss
• leaves: Grassy Knoll, Summer Shower / Blue Jay, Hydrangea

Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the images using the coordinating one-piece die. 

For the background, I die cut the Refined Grid from white cardstock and then stenciled the heart pattern using Sparkling Rose and Apricot inks. I adhered the Refined Grid panel to a pale pink cardbase. I die cut a small white heart using the Shaker Hearts die set and foam mounted it in the lower left corner of the card. I then arranged several floral elements from the Wild Meadow Wreath on top of the heart, as shown in the photo. 

The sentiment was die cut from white cardstock that I had ink blended with Sparkling Rose using the Wild Meadow Wreath die. For added dimension, I cut three additional sentiment layers from white cardstock and stacked them together. I cut the base layer of the sentiment from white cardstock. I foam mounted the sentiment in the top right corner of the card. To complete the design, I added four Blush Clear Drops. 

My second card showcases the Petal Pop stencil set and the Floral Tale die set from this release. The Petal Pop is a modern A2-sized floral stencil set originally designed to color the flowers in three tones of same color family. I decided to switch things up and use three different color family instead. The set also includes a background stencil, which adds wonderful versatility. 

To stencil the Petal Pop I used the following ink combinations for the flowers:

• Yellow flowers: Sweet Mustard and Marigold 
• Coral flowers: Coral Reef and Passion Fruit 
• Pink flowers: Sparkling Rose and Bubble Gum
• The flower centers were stenciled with Candy Violet.

Before stenciling the background, I die cut the panel using a die from the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge die set. I then stenciled the background of the inner rectangle using Opulence ink. I adhered the outer portion of the panel flat onto a white cardbase and foam mounted the inner rectangle for dimension. 

The Sentiment, from the Heartfelt Chapters set, was stamped in Detail Black on white cardstock and die cut with a small die from the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge die set. I added it to the card with foam tape. 

For extra white accents, I die-cut the Floral Tale from white cardstock and arranged two floral clusters diagonally across the sentiment panel, as shown in the photo. I finished the card by adding Amethyst Glitter Drops to the centers of the die cut flowers.
