For today’s card, I used the Always Smiling product suite and the Dotted Fancy Frames die from this release.
To begin, I heat embossed the Always Smiling image in white and stenciled it using the coordinating stencil set. I stenciled the flowers in three tones – orange, coral and pink- using Apricot – Clementine, Coral Reef –Passion Fruit and Cherry Blossom – Peony. For the leaves, I mixed teal and green using Ocean Breeze Aquamarine and Grassy Knoll – Eucalyptus. The center of the flowers were colored with Gathered Twigs.
After finishing the stenciling, I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
To create the background, I first watercolored an A2 sized Mixed Media panel in Marigold, Coral Reef, Bubble Gum and Warm Buff. I used the new Pinkfresh Studio watercolors, which will be released soon! As I planned to place the floral cluster on the upper side of the panel, I watercolored the upper portion of the background panel darker, making it brighter towards the bottom.
Once the panel was dry, I dry embossed it using the Always Smiling Press Plate to add some texture. To frame the flowers, I cut a thin frame using the Dotted Fancy Frames die, ink blended it in Apricot, Warm Buff, and Peony, and adhered it to the background.
Next, I foam mounted the floral cluster to the top of the card and added the sentiment from the Always Smiling stamp set, which was pressed in Espresso. To finish off the card, I added a few Amber and Blush Clear Drops.

The flowers are beautiful TaeEun and the way you have coloured the fancy frame with the same colours as are used on the background behind it complements it brilliantly and love the press plate you used to emboss one corner and finished with the lovely stamped and die cut sentiment. x
