For today’s hop I created a card featuring the Lush Elegance product suite and the Modern Design Blocks die from this new release.
The beautiful florals from Lush Elegance were hot foiled in turquoise and stenciled using the coordinating stencils. I inked the petals in Waterfall and Turquoise, added Citron and Sunshine to the flower centers.. The leaves were stenciled in Warm Buff and Bay Leaf. Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the images, along with one more piece in gold mirror cardstock, using the coordinating die.
The heart mat was cut with the Shaker Heart die from a panel that I had ink blended in Turquoise, Paradise, and Citron.
For the background, I cut a white A2 sized panel using the Modern Design Blocks die. I then masked the block borders with washi tape and inked some of the blocks in Citron, Sunshine and Waterfall. While inking, I placed the die cut panel over the white cardbase so that the same colors would softly blend through the openings onto the base.
I foam mounted the background panel onto the cardbase, adhered the heart with foam tape, and then arranged the stenciled flower, layering it slightly offset over the gold die cut version for added dimension and shimmer.
The sentiment was pressed in black and cut with the coordinating die. My finishing touch for this card were three Gold Metallic Pearls.

This looks so pretty with the Modern Design Blocks coverplate background coloured in blue, yellow and white, and a great contrast with the darker tones of the heart with the pretty added flowers, and lovely finishing touches with the sentiment and gold pearls. x
