For today’s hop I created a card featuring the Refined Grid and the Floral Tale product suites, along with a sentiment from the Heartfelt Chapters stamp set.
I began by stenciling the Floral Tale image. The open book pages were stenciled in Warm Buff, the sides of the book in Marigold, and the book cover with Lemon Whip. For the florals I used Clementine, Coral Reef and Fruit Punch, and colored the leaves with Grassy Knoll and Olive. Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the images using the coordinating die.
For the background, I die cut the Refined Grid from white cardstock and stenciled the square pattern using Warm Buff and Lemon Whip. I adhered the Refined Grid panel to a beige cardbase.
To assemble the card, I foam mounted the book and floral elements from the Floral Tale suite, arranging them as shown.
The sentiment from the Heartfelt Chapters stamp set was stamped directly onto the book page in Detail Black. To finish the card, I added a few Champagne Clear Drops to the center of the flowers for a subtle shine.
