Hello everyone!!! And again Happy New Year, if you missed my previous post 🙂 !!!
Today the first Flower Challenge of 2020 has started with the theme: Shaped Cards!
This month we are being sponsored by Alex Syberia, she designs such fabulous digital images. Do check them out if you haven’t already. We are blown away just how talented she is and what glorious flowers she designs too!
She has kindly agreed to give our lucky winner two of her lovely digital images. And each design team member had the chance to choose one favorite digital stamp to use! I chose this gorgeous Winter Bouquet digital stamp and made a circle card.
I printed the image resized to fit in my circle card. I printed it on Canson Mixed Media Paper which allows me to watercolor. I cut the image using ScanNcut. I cut one extra piece in the same shape to back the colored image and make it sturdier.
I colored the image using my Mijello Mission Gold watercolor. I cut the circle cardbase from a A2 sized creme cardbase with a Double Stitched Circle die (The Ton) and foam mounted the Winter Bouquet on it.
The sentiment was cut with Handlettered Greetings die by SSS from some black cardstock. I stacked three pieces together. The top one was heat embossed with Extreme peacock embossing powder to add some sparkle. I also added some Star Dust Stickles on the center of the flowers.
I finished off the card by adding some clear iridescent sequins.
Hope you like my DT card for the first challenge of this year 🙂 and got inspired to play along!
