Hello everyone!
It’s time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday! This time around we have no Toppings-option! You may enter any newly created birthday card into the gallery!
NO TOPPING
For my DT card I used one of the images from Sunset Rose digital stamp set by EunJi. The set has three image files. You can find EunJi’s digital stamps on her Etsy shop, DotBStamp.
I printed the image on Canson mixed media paper. I colored the background first by ink smooshing using pink and blue DOX. After the panel was dry, I started coloring the image using Inktense pencils. I colored the darkest area on the petals using pencils and blended the colors out with a waterbrush.
After done coloring I added white highlight using a gel pen and traced the outline of the flowers with a black micron pen to make them pop. I fussy cut the right side of the image, glued it on a purple patterned paper, fussy cut the purple paper again and foam mounted the panel on a cardbase on which I added some purple polka dot patterned paper. The sentiment from Nesting Peonies (The Ton) was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. I adhered it on a silver glitter paper I’ve made using Glossy Fine Silver Adhesive Glitter paper by The Ton. I finished off the card by adding some Glass Slippers sequins.

I’ll take a break in crafting this Summer. I’m moving back to Germany in July and it’ll take some time till I have all settled. There will be one more scheduled post while I’m away. But this is my last post I write in the USA.
