Hello and Welcome to The Ton’s June 2020 Release!
Today one more grouped layering floral stamp called Poppy Wishes with the coordinating die and eight gorgeous dies are debuting! All new products are now available at The Ton Shop!
I made three cards using some of the new goodies!
My first card is showcasing the new grouped layering stamp, Poppy Wishes.
I started off by stamping the Poppy Wishes in orange and red along with teal leaves. I used Amber Citrine, Coraline Hybrid and Coral Cavern for the orange poppies, Lipstick Red, Pink Derby and Spiced Chai for the red poppies and Bright Emerald, Hot Tourmaline and Ocean Teal for the leaves. I cut them all using the coordinating die and set them aside.
The background was watercolored in orange and yellow Gansai Tambi watercolor and I added some gold ink splotches to it. After the background panel was dry I cut it using a Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested die and mounted it flat on a creme cardbase.
I drew some black lines on the background panel to represent the stems and arranged the poppies and leaves on the card. I adhered the leaves flat and the poppies using foam tape. The sentiment was from Easy Expressions set. I finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins.
The second card is featuring the Swallowtail Butterfly Coverplate die.
I wanted to show you the beautiful die as it is. So I decided to go with a colorful background and white die cut piece. To create the background I colored a watercolor paper panel in blue and purple using Color Burst powder. I splattered the same colors after the panel was dry. I stamped the sentiment from Poppy Wishes stamp set directly on the background panel in Noir ink.
The Swallowtail Butterfly Coverplate was cut from a textured white cardstock . I mounted the background panel flat on a navy cardbase and added the butterfly frame on it using foam tape. To finish off the card I used our new Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots.
Next card is showing the Foliage Border Coverplate die and the Skinny Alphas Coverplate die.
I started off by cutting the Foliage Border Coverplate two times from some watercolor paper. I watercolored them in various shades of green. I added gold watercolor to the leaves of one of the die cut frames and splattered gold watercolor on the other one.
I also stamped and die cut pink and yellow little flowers using Floral Bits stamp and die set. To stamp them I used Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine and Coraline Hybrid for the yellow flowers, Ballet Slippers, Hollywood Star and Cosmopolitan Pink for the pink flowers and Soft Garden and Bright Fern for the leaves.
I ink blended Cali Blue on the center of a white cardbase, glued the Foliage Border with golden leaves on it and added the Foliage Border with gold splatters to it using some foam tape. I tucked the little flowers here and there. To make the sentiment I cut YOU four times from some white cardstock using Skinny Alphas Coverplate die, stacked them together and adhered the letters on the center of the card. The thin sentiment is from Peony Memories Cardmaking set. I colored a strip of white cardstock using a green Copic marker and white heat embossed the sentiment on it. I finished off the card with some clear dew drops.

TaeEun!! I adore them all… but I’m most impressed that The Ton knows their Monarchs from their Swallowtails!!! and I love them both! I love the poppies, and the fresh Spring greens and soft yellows you’ve used in your layered garden today! xx

It’s great to see how having a lot of die-cut flowers gives so many options for a card. Your card showcases them beautifully. And the butterfly card is a perfect match with the lovely font of that Thinking of You.
You are a rock star! You always rock it! Gorgeous cards!
I LOVE the floral bits tucked into the foliage frame – just gorgeous!
Wow, gorgeous cards! I love your poppies!
