Hello again, everyone!
Today I have one more special post. I had the honor and pleasure to play with the newest Build-A-Flower set by Altenew. This time the creative people at Altenew have designed Sakura Blossom aka cherry blossom and 3D dies. A bundle paired with Cherry Blossom and Green Field Mini Cube set is also available. The Build-A-Flower set includes 1 stamp set and 1 coordinating die set which are only sold as a set.

This Build-A-Flower: Sakura Blossom set features layered cherry blossoms and leaves and the accompanying die have score details to help you create 3D flowers.

I’ve made two cards. The first one is featuring the 3D sakura blossoms.

I started off by stamping the second and the third layer of both big and small flowers on Canson mixed media paper in light pinks from Cherry Blossom mini cube set. I then blended the colors out using a wet brush and added some opera pink watercolor on the center area before I cut them using 3D dies. The stamens were cut also from mixed media paper. I watercolored the center of the stamen in opera pink and added yellow dots on the stamen using Pico Embellisher. I set them all aside and started making the branch. I cut the shape of the branch with my cutting machine three times from a brown cardstock and stack them all together. I then gold heat embossed the branch and added bronze embossing powder only partially on it to give it some shade.

To create the small rectangle panel I dabbed white pearl acrylic paint on a white cardstock using crumpled cling wrap. Once it was dry I blended blue and green DI on it. The acrylic paint resists the ink blending and create some gorgeous marbling on the panel. I adhered a textured white cardstock on my cardbase and foam mounted the small rectangle panel. I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black and assembled the cherry blossom branch. I finished off the card by adding White Blizzard Nuvo drops on the flower center.

The second card is a one layer card.

To create this I started off by making masks for the flowers and leaves using the dies in the  Build-A-Flower: Sakura Blossom set. After I placed the masks as a floral cluster I blended light blue and light green DOX on the panel. I added some pink halo over the flowers using Worn Lipstick DOX and splattered clear water. I then colored the flowers and leaves with acrylic paint. I used plenty of the paints to create some texture on the image. Once it was dry I added shades below the image using C1 – C3 Copic markers and splattered soft pink pearl acrylic paint on the panel. The sentiment was gold heat embossed. To finish off I scattered some clear iridescent sequins.
