Hello and welcome to Altenew Markers Release Blog Hop! I’m so thrilled to be a part of this hop! Hope you’re having fun and enjoying looking my projects :)!
If you are arrived here from amazing Kelly Latevola’s blog, you are right on track. If you want to start over from the beginning of the hop, please move to Altenew Card blog. Or click here to go over to Altenew Scrapbook Blog.
Altenew released two new Artist Markers sets today. The Artist Markers set B has purple (Shades of Purple), yellow (Summer Afternoon) and warm gray lines and the Artist Markers Set C includes cool blue (Glacier Caves), red (Red Sunset) shades and Four Scoups. There is also 36 color set which includes all Altenew Artist Markers.
For my first card I mainly used the Artist Markers Set B. The big floral image from Sketchy Floral stamp set was colored in purple and yellow.
I started off by stamping a part of the Sketchy Floral image on a Canson watercolor paper panel in gray ink. I then colored the floral image. The purple petals were colored using all 4 colors of the purple shade from Artist Markers Set B. For the yellow petals I used C001, Y204, Y205 and Y612 from Set B except for Y204 which is from Set C. The leaves were colored in G702, G715 from Artist Markers Set A and warm gray colors in WG01 and WG03 also from Set B.
After done with coloring I stamped the image again in an embossing ink with the help of MISTI and heat embossed it in gold. For the background I added some loose watercolor wash in aqua and green.
The sentiment from the Sketchy Floral set was gold heat embossed on a light blue vellum banner.
I glued the panel on my A2 card base and the vellum banner onto the card. To finish off I added a matte green enamel dot from New Day Card Kit on the banner and colored the floral centers in gold Pico Embellisher.
For my second card I created a floral cluster using solo floral stamps from Blooming Bouquet set, which I colored using various Artist Markers. To show off the floral bouquet I created a background panel also using the Artist Markers (A, B and C).
To create the background panel of the second card I scribbled R823, G554, G702, B002 and B016 on a Yupo panel and blended the colors using rubbing alcohol and a brush. After the panel was dry I added white splatters and set it aside. The flowers and leaves from Blooming Bouquet stamp set were stamped on some Neenah solar white cardstock and colored using Artist Markers. The big red flowers were colored in R301, R206, R217 from set C and R335 (SetA). On the small blue florals I used B002, R902 from Set C and R702 and R705 from set B. For the leaves I used the green colors from the Set A. I cut the images using coordinating dies.
I cut the background panel I created using Notebook die in an angle and foam mounted it on the cardbase on which I adhered a purple panel. I arranged the flowers and leaves on that. For some dimension I added foam adhesives underneath some flowers and leaves. The sentiment in black is from Just Because stamp set. I fussy cut the sentiment and added it onto the card. To finish off I added some purple and iridescent sequins.
On my next card I used one of my favorite color combinations, coral and gray.
The coral flowers are colored in R301, R206 from Artist Markers set C and R304 from set A. The leaves are in warm gray from Set B. I colored the yellow berries in C001 and Y205 from Set B.
I started by die cutting Neenah solar white cardstock using coordinating dies of Golden Garden set. I then stamped the images of Golden Garden set in light color on the die cuts and colored them using Artist Markers. After done with coloring I gold heat embossed the images. The watercolor wash in payne’s gray and gold on watercolor panel was the backdrop for my floral arrangement. The circled sentiment was gold heat embossed and cut. I added a gold vellum circle underneath the sentiment and added it onto the flower cluster.
My last card for today is a CAS card. I kept the image in blue and green and added some gold accent.
The beautiful floral cluster is from Just Because stamp set. I stamped it in light gray on a Neenah white panel and colored them using Artist Markers. The blue flowers were colored in B002 and B016 from Set C and the teal ones in B201, B204 and B313 form Set A. I used Copic colorless blender to add the brightest highlight on the petals. For greenery around the flowers I used the green shades from Set A, the blue shades from Set C and warm gray shades from Set B.
To finish off I added two enamel dots of New Day Card Kit and dots on the stamen using gold Pico embellisher.
