Hello and welcome to my blog, everyone!

It’s time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge! Im September we’re having a color challenge: Brown & Pink.

We are being sponsored this month by the amazing Bugaboo Stamps again with a $12 gift code for our winner (approx. 4 digital stamps). Such beautiful and fun digital stamps to be found there, do pay them a visit if you haven’t already! All the design team have been given some of their stamps to use on their cards also.

Brown & Pink! It was challenging for me to make a floral card only in brown & pink, but it was fun to do some brainstorming and make this card.

I used Rose Tag digital stamp for my DT card.

I printed the Rose Tag digital stamp on a watercolor paper and colored it using Gansai Tambi watercolor in pink and brown. I added a bit of gold to it and let the panel dry. I traced the outline with a black glaze pen to add some definition and shine.

I cut a white A2 sized panel using a circle die and dry embossed the negative panel with the Subtle 3D EF. I placed the image on a white cardbase aligning it to the circle window of the front panel. The front panel was foam mounted. For the sentiment I used the Easy Expressions: Thanks stamp (The Ton) and the coordinating die and finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins by The Ton.

That’s it from my side! Now it’s your turn to make some pink and brown floral card and link it up at The Flower Challenge! I’d love to see your projects in our gallery!

Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our Guest this Month, Lee Ann Barrett !

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Hugs,

TaeEun

  1. Fabulous card Love that you watercoloured the image. I finally bought myself a light box so I can print up images then trace onto watercolour paper. Just need to get some watercolour pencils to trace with so the lines will disappear. This image is really beautiful and it is highlighted perfectly with the watercolouring. Hugs Aileen

  2. A beautifully watercoloured rose TaeEun and love the way you have the aperture partially off the edge and the simple textural dry embossing on the aperture layer with the lovely stamped and die cut sentiment is the perfect finishing touch. x
