Hello everyone!

It’s time for a reminder post for the latest Flower Challenge. The theme for December is ADD EMBELLISHMENTS! Any kind of embellishment is okay. Just don’t forget to keep floral images as the main element of your project!

I’ve used again my own floral drawing for my DT card.

I drew the floral cluster in the oval frame digitally and printed it on a watercolor paper in gray. I colored the image using Mijello Mission Gold watercolor. Actually I planned to do no-line coloring for this card, but it didn’t look good for me. So I drew the outline and the stamen using a black fine liner. I added some white dots to the center of the flowers using a white gel pen. The sentiment is from Destination Sentiments set (30-590) by Penny Black. I stamped it in a black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it.

Next I ink blended the border of the panel in yellow and orange DIs and cut it using a Double Pierced Rectangle Nested die by The Ton. I foam mounted the panel on a cream cardbase. As embellishments I added three purple rhinestones on the bottom of the oval frame.

That’s it from me! Please don’t forget to visit The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my lovely team mates and our guest Helen! Looking forward to seeing your creations in the gallery!

Thank you so much for all your support and love for The Flower Challenge in 2020!

Wishing you all a blessed holiday season !

  1. What fabulous hand drawn flowers TaeEun and love the colours and the super sentiment within the purple edged oval which coordinates beautifully with the ribbon around the flower spray, and the pierced rectangle mat ink blended in that bright orange matches one of the flowers too…the perfect look! You are such a talented artist and you should be doing your own range of stamps if your whale and poinsettia, and also these brilliant flowers are anythng to go by. x

  2. Beautiful flower spray that you have created TaeEun! And I love the bright and fun colours you’ve used to watercolour. The purple rhinestones are sweet embellishments for your lovely card. Merry Christmas! xx
