Hello and welcome to my blog!

It’s Seize the Birthday Thursday again and we have a new toppings option! Have you enjoyed the celebration of our 200th challenge over at Seize the Birthday? Congratulations to the lucky winners!

This time around my lovely team mate Lindsey asks us to use scraps for our projects!

I have so many scraps in my stash… I chose a failed background panel from it. A dark red panel with the  Modern Plaid pattern heat embossed in white.  I made two frames from it and used them for my DT card.

I made a square cardbase. I ink blended some pink ink softly on it and splattered red ink. The rectangle frames cut using the Rectangle A2 Nested Dies were added with some foam tape as shown in the picture.

The rose cluster was arranged with the roses and leaves from Rose Labels and Summer Rose grouped layering stamp set by The Ton which I had in my stash. As you can stamp and cut multiple flowers and leaves with the grouped layering stamp sets, you will always have some flowers in your stash!

To stamp the roses and leaves I used Sky Blue collection, Amethyst Collection, Ballet Slippers, Cosmopolitan pink, Pink Derby and Crystal Garden Collection.

The sentiment is also from Rose Labels set which I heat embossed in Liquid Platinum EP.

That’s it from my side! Now it’s your turn to play along!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my lovely team mates and our Surprise Party guest Angie Cimbalo from Cimba creative fun !

Thank you so much for looking!

Have a nice day!

  1. Beautiful card TaeEun, as always. I love how you made frames with your lovely scraps. The flowers are beautiful.

  2. Where dod you get such interesting color combos! I can’t get over how fabulous this works with those super cool rectangle frames! I have been staring at this card for five minutes! I am in awe!

  3. Wow! This is a royal card – both size wise and content wise! I feel like its full of lush flowers and so much life in it! Guess it’s all good to make more so that one can always find extra stuff in the stash!

  4. I never thought to cut frames from failed pieces, TaeEun, thanks for the inspo! They set off the diecut flowers beautifully, with that hint of colour behind them.
