*Effie is holding the release of the Oscar Stamp sets pending permission from the Academy. Unfortunately, there is an additional stamp set (one that has not been debuted) that also had to be pulled from this release. Are you ready for the sweetness :)?
For my first card I stamped the macarons in layer and to stack them up I used masking along the way. For pink macarons I used Soft Garnet, Hollywood Star and Red Sangria, and for the green one Soft Garden, Bright Emerald and Bright Fern. The creme part was stamped in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and Lemon Drop. The silver heat embossed dish is from the Tea Party stamp set. I added a blue poppy from the Lone Poppy stamp (incentive stamp) on the dish which I stamped in Arctic Sky, Cali Blue and Azurite. The leave is from Fresh Cut Poppies which I stamped using the same colors as the green macaron. I die cut a hot pink panel using our biggest Double Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it on the card base. I then cut a silver cardstock with the next Double Stitched Rectangle die and the stamped panel as well. I silver heat embossed the sentiment from Sweet Macarons stamp set on a vellum, torn it by hand and added it on a corner of the front panel. I then mounted the silver panel and the front panel onto the card. To finish off I added some sequins from Winter Thaw and Glass Slippers.
My second card is a sweet birthday card with a macaron tower from the Sweet Macarons stamp set.
I stamped the macaron tower in Caviar Hybrid ink on Bristol paper. To make the background I masked it off and blended Arctic Sky, Rose Quartz and Orchid Crush and splattered white ink. I then colored the macaron tower using Zig brush pens. I added clear Wink of Stella on the flower. To create a table for the macaron tower to stand, I stamped Minor Stripes cling stamp on my card base in Plum Wine. I cut the front panel in the same angle as the stripes and foam mounted it on the card base. The sentiment is from Sweet Macarons as well. I stamped it in Plum Wine and again in Grape Crush this time only the bottom part to give it an ombre look. The sequins are from Disco Spring Couture Mix. I love the silver holo sequins with amazing sparkle!
Next I made a birthday card using Party Fans stamp set.
I chose 5 color families for this party fan decoration in happy colors. In Party Fans stamp set there are three sizes of party fans and each fan has three layers. I used for yellow fans Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Lemon Drop and Amber Citrine, for blue fans Arctic Sky, Cali Blue and Azurite, for green fans Soft Garden, Bright Emerald and Bright Fern, for pink fans Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet and Hollywood star and for orange fans Beach Blondie, Peach Blossom and Coraline hybrid. I stamped them randomly while masking when needed. I then stamped three fans on a white cardstock, fussy cut and mounted them with foam tape for some dimension. The sentiment is from the Party Fans stamp set as well. I stamped it in Noir Dye ink. To finish off I added rhinestones in coordinating colors on the center of the fans.
My fourth card for today could be a Valentine’s day card!
Effie designed again a gorgeous border stamp. This time it is with morning glories! As you may already know the border stamps make card making so easy. I stamped the Morning Glory Border rubber cling stamp on a white cardstock, the morning glories in light pink and the leaves in light green. I then colored them with Copic markers first and added details using Polychromos colored pencils. I chose the Brushed Love as my sentiment. I gold heat embossed it and added the white heat embossed “SENDING” on a purple cardstock to it. My finishing touch for this floral card was some clear Dew Drops.
The last card is showcasing the Poppy Garden Rubber Cling stamp.
Of course you can make a gorgeous full background with this stamp. But this time I made front panels to cover some part of the image using my cutting machine. I cut them from dark red cardstock and one of them from our Adhesive glitter paper gold as well to adhere it on the dark red panel. The main panel was made by heat embossing the Poppy Garden cling stamp in glitter gold and coloring using Zig brush pens. I glued it on the card base and then foam mounted the front panels on that. The sentiment was built using Scripty Alpha Lower stamp set. I gold heat embossed it. To finish off my card I added a few sequins from Princess Glam and Cinderella’s Ride Couture Mix.
