The Ton Anniversary 2017 Release Day1

*Effie is holding the release of the Oscar Stamp sets pending permission from the Academy. Unfortunately, there is an additional stamp set (one that has not been debuted) that also had to be pulled from this release. Thus, The Ton has a total of 26 new designs releasing on Thursday, January 12. We hope you understand!*

Hello! Welcome to the reveal Day1 of The Ton’s 2017 Anniversary Release! 



Let’s take a look at my cards for today!


My very first card for the Anniversary Release is featuring Freestyle Stripes, Lone Poppy and Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines. I started by white heat embossing the Freestyle Stripes on my black card base. I stamped the vase from Lone Poppy mini stamp in Arctic Sky on a white cardstock, masked it and stamped the poppy from Lone Poppy, and a stem and a leave from the Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines, in Lipstick red and in Soft Garden respectively. I then colored them using Prismacolor colored pencils, fussy cut and foam mounted it on the card base. The sentiment is from the Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines as well. I white heat embossed it on a piece of black cardstock. To finish off I added three of our clear Dew Drops and made small drops on the poppy using Glossy Accents.


The second card shows the Thoughtful Poppies stamp.


I left this card in CAS design. I stamped the Thoughtful Poppies using blue and green Aqua markers on Bristol smooth paper and colored it with Zig Brush markers. The Sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I stamped it in Noir Dye ink. I then trimmed the panel down a bit and adhered it on a kraft card base.


My next card was made with Fresh Cut Poppies and coordinating Outlines stamp set.


I started out by stamping three layered poppies. I used for poppy petals Coral Cavern, Valentine Red and Spiced Chai and for stems and leaves Soft Garden, Bright Fern and Deep Emerald. The center of the poppies was stamped in Noir and Amber Citrine. I then fussy cut them all and set them aside. For the background with a subtle poppy field scene I stamped the poppies from Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines stamp set in sticky ink on my black card base and brushed Perfect Pearls (Mandarin and Mint) over it. I added a butterfly from Flutter Mini stamp to the scene. I then cut a circle frame from a red cardstock and again from our Red Adhesive Glitter paper to adhere it on the red frame. I arranged the poppies on the circle frame and mounted them on the card base. I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella on the poppies. The white heat embossed sentiment is from Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines stamp set as well. To finish off I added Glossy Black Sequins and some gold holo sequins from our new Princess Glam Couture Mix.


For my last card for today I used an outlined poppy as my focal point.


I stamped the poppy from Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines in Noir Dye ink and fussy cut it. I then prepared my card base by stamping the Freestyle Stripes Cling stamp in ombre look using Arctic Sky, Cali Blue, Soft Garden and Deep Emerald Dye inks. I then made a thin frame using my cutting machine from a panel on which I blended the same inks and foam mounted it on the card base after I adhered the poppy on it.  The sentiment was built with Scripty Alphas Upper and Lower sets. I stamped the letters in Deep Emerald and once again in Noir only on bottom part. To finish off I scattered some sequins from Glossy Black and Glass Slippers Sequins Mix and covered the poppy with clear Wink of Stella.
