Hello, crafty friends!
The Ton is releasing the Sunflower Pop Up dies today! It is an awesome addition to The Ton’s Pop Up die collection. If you’re a fan of pop up cards, you have to check it out! This Pop Up die set has a platform system, which makes the flower float towards you, if you’re opening the card.
Without further ado. Here is my pop up card!
First I die cut all the elements of Sunflowers Pop Up dies. The petals were cut from yellow cardstock, the leaves from green one, the flower center from brown cardstock and the platform part from white cardstock.
I then colored the petals, flower centers and the leaves using Prismacolor colored pencils to give them a more natural look.
Next I started assembling the Pop Up sunflower. Effie has an instruction video up on The Ton’s YouTube channel to help you in assembling the pop up Sunflower. I made mine with my daughter and we had lots of fun crafting together!
For the card front I chose Sunflower Bouquet image. I stamped it in black on a watercolor paper and colored it with Mijello Mission Gold watercolor. I colored the background in light purple and heat embossed the bow and the sentiment in gold after the panel was dry. I mounted the panel flat on a white cardbase and mounted the pop up sunflower inside the card.
I added three Lemon Chiffon sequins next to the pop up sunflower to finish off the card.
here is a short video showing the pop up sunflower!
